Living in a Townhouse with Newborn

Hey ladies

So I've moved into a townhouse and wondered if anyone has any tips or solution when it comes to the first few months when baby is here and where they will be sleeping during the day.

we have a dog and I work from home, my dog follows me everywhere. My
Home office is in the second floor and found myself dragging his bed from room /floor so I went out today and got him another bed!

When it comes to baby sleeping do I need a Moses basket/bouncer on every floor? I'm just thinking if I need to be in the kitchen for a few hours do I bring the Moses basket downstairs or should I have one downstairs already?

Baby room is on the top floor next to our bedroom and we will have a Tommie tippee in kitchen and baby room so it saves me going all the way downstairs for milk.

Any tips as I don't want to spend so much on stuff by doubling up but I also don't want to create more work for myself either...

Tips?

I’m in a townhouse - where is your lounge?

I have kitchen & dining room on the ground. Living room & spare room on the middle & two bedrooms upstairs. We had our co-sleeper (snuzpod) in the bedroom plus obviously the cot in the nursery. And a gifted Moses basket in the lounge. Nothing on the ground level.. I used the carrycot attached to the pram when in the kitchen! Or quite often left the baby bouncer chair in the dining room & used that! But the carrycot worked a treat as the pram was just there!

I personally would not buy something for every floor as you may find baby will only sleep attached to you! In which case, a sling can be handy! Maybe see what your baby is like first, easy to pick up an additional Moses basket once baby is here if you really feel you need one! No need to pre-buy everything, you will be able to go shopping or order online Smile
