My expected date is around 15 - 20 feb. So I am currently approx in my 35th week of pregnancy and started noticing since few days that every evening baby makes hiccup like movements for some 10-15 minutes.
Googling scared me it could be cord compression or something , although it does say its mostly normal, but not after 32 weeks
Is this normal ?

Baby makes jerking and poking movements rest of the times of the day. Sometimes my husband can feel them if he touches my lower stomach when I am sleeping.

I like it when they hiccup as helps check they're still head down!

I read the same bullshit about after 32 weeks, I even paid for an extra scan to check flown of blood through cord!
My baby was hiccuping every day, sometimes for about an hour and sometimes more! This was all after 32 weeks. Midwife said I'll just have a hiccupy baby, and I did. This time I'm not worrying about hiccuping.

Oh my gosh! I had this loads and like you I googled it. I had a growth scan coming up and asked the lead midwife who was also a sonographer why the baby keeps hiccuping and what I read on google and she said it is completely normal for baby's to hiccup just like we do. I would still get checked by your midwife for reassurance. FWIW my DS is 6 months and still hiccups a lot 🙈

Totally normal, if I remember correctly. DS was a hiccuper (is that a word?) but the other two, not so much.

Was normal for me and my DD also still hiccups quite a lot. I think I read somewhere that regular hiccups inside help them exercise their lungs? Don’t know how true that is! If you’re worried about anything, trust your gut, ask the MW/GP.

My second hiccuped a LOT! I mentioned it to the midwife but she wasn't concerned. It made me giggle a lot!

Do bring it up in your next appt if you are worried though.
