Twin Pram recommendations

Hi, our twins are due in May...so still lots to time before we have to start gathering things together, but looking at prams online I’m just getting confused.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a twin pram.

Also welcome any other tips or recommendations of things that we might benefit from? Have anyone who had twins just slept them in the same place or is this a no no?

Sorry to be so clueless

Hi OP, I’m 34 weeks with twins - we’ve gone for the Out n About Nipper Double (Mountain Buggy Duet was a close second) - mainly as we do a lot of hikes/walks with the dog so the wheels/pram was ideal for us - it was also recommended to us by many a twin mum! Do check the width of your front door and the width of the pram before buying anything though!!

Twin babies can share a cot until they start to roll over. The cots we have won’t fit in our bedroom though so we’ve got two separate Moses baskets for them for the first few months and then we’ll move them in to their cots in the nursery.

Things that have been recommended to us - bouncer chairs you can strap them in to so you can go for a wee/make a drink! Twin slings/carriers - we got a Weego second hand. As many Muslins as you can get your hands on!
We’ve managed to get loads and loads of stuff second hand from friends and FB marketplace to help keep costs down.

Congrats and good luck!

Thanks so much for the recommendations. We are tight on space but would possibly be able to fit a cot into our bedroom if they can share, otherwise probably like you get Moses baskets 😁 will check out the pram recommendation.

We had the bugaboo donkey when they were babies. It was an absolute delight to push, but struggled to fit in doors and had to have a massive boot to store it. We switched to a cosatto duo for the space in the boot, which would’ve been suitable from newborn if we’d had it then.

We had ours in a next to me crib for the first 8 weeks, then they went in to their own cots in their own room next door (with angelcare monitors) becuase they were keeping each other up and had outgrown it and we didn’t have space for the crib in our room.

We had the baby rockers which were brilliant for keeping them entertained, and a baby bouncer which I’d move round the house so I could get stuff done. They used to love watching the washing machine going!

I’d suggest a twin feeding pillow (or something you can use as one). I mainly bottlefed and would prop them up so I could feed both of them at once, but I know they’re handy for bf too. Euan the dream sheep was brilliant for my two, we used them with them from 2 days old and my son in particular loved his and fell asleep easily with it going.

I’d really recommend amazon prime. It’s saved my bacon quite a few times, particularly in the very early days where I wouldn’t even have known where to go to get some baby stuff, and everything was an hour’s drive away with two tiny humans (we live rurally).

100s of muslin clothes. However many you think you’ll need, double it 😂

Oh, and a couple of phrases I read on here - all fed, nobody dead, it’s just a phase, and this too shall pass all helped me massively (and still do!) in the early weeks, and now on bad days with my toddler twins.

Congrats and good luck, twins are brilliant!

We loved our mountain buggy duet. It was amazing. The slimmest side by side out there. Plus the carrycot+ attachments mean that you can have world-facing or parent-facing seats when they’re older.
Congrats on your twins, ours are 5 in a fortnight! Oh and start fining people who say “double trouble” 🤣
