Hi all, I posted recently to say I had a scan on Tuesday and was told baby is very very low in my pelvis.

For the past 2 days I have felt very sick and nauseous and keep getting hot flushes.

This morning I had slight cramps, almost like period pains but not severe, they came and went but wasn't my whole stomach, literally under my bump where my public bone is coupled with a sharp shooting pain down there too.

What do Braxton Hicks feel like? Are they painful?

Im obviously not full term yet so panicking a bit - anyone else had this?

What I was told at my antenatal classes during my first pregnancy was that labour contractions don't let you sleep. It was true for me. Went in for false labour twice, then when actually was real labour I couldn't sleep when contractions were coming. I'm on number 4 now.

It might just be your pubic bones. If you're really concerned thou, give your maternity unit a call, they might call you in to check and if all good you'll go back home.

If you change position then Braxton Hicks will stop but a contraction will keep going. I think it's sounds like you're in early onset so call triage xx

Braxton hicks for me have been painfull this time around.. They have come and gone like contractions and not gone when changing position the only way I've been able to tell the difference is they go when I have paracetamol or when I have a bath they ease and trail Off Completly I've been having this since 32 weeks and now nearly 38 weeks.

Labour won't stop they will get stronger and more intense... They won't ease off if you change position or if you have a bath/paracetamol. You won't be able to sleep through them if you do think you could be having contractions I would get Intouch with your hospital they will get you in to monitor you even if they are BH it's better to get checked out
