C-Section hospital bag!

I go in for a C-Section at the end of the month, I have a hospital bag packed for myself and the baby!

Could anyone maybe help or give some advice on what exactly to pack, I've found lists on line but each one seems different! If anyone has a good one they could recommend that would be awesome! Smile

5 times everything! You'll be in longer so more nighties, more nappies, more baby grows etc!

I had a c section and I was in for one night but take lots of spares just incase!

I wore the same nightie except when the catheter failed and wet everything so a spare would be good. A few onesies for baby and a blanket for when you bring them home. More maternity towels than you think possible! Toiletry bag, loads of reading material (it is dead boring there) and have your partner be prepared to bring food daily as the hospital grub might be dire. Not much else needed to be honest.

Highly recommend packing high Rise knickers. I didn't when I had mine and the knicker lining kept rubbing against the incision (very painful)

Massive full briefs from m&s, 1-2 sizes too big. You'll be in the mesh ones for a while after though. Ear plugs for the ward. New slippers. Front opening nighties if you are planning to BF. Wet wipes/baby wipes. X

Take the minimum. Unless you’re on your own for the entire stay your dh and visitors can bring you extras and take soiled clothes away.

I went in with a rucksack- pack of nappies, wipes, sleepsuits, vests, and a couple of nighties for me. Then I didn’t need to worry about “stuff”. Dh brought me anything else I needed.

Big pants, maternity pads, snacks (for you and partner), nighties rather than anything tight on your stomach like pjs, slippers, light dressing gown, baby wipes for you to clean yourself - showers are painful but try to have them once a day. You will still feel grotty after a shower so baby wipes might help!

To add to other suggestions- a notepad and pen. For the first couple of days time passed in a blur and I couldn't remember what time I'd taken my medication, when I'd fed the baby, changed their nappy etc. The nurses would ask what time such and such had happened and writing it down was such a help.
