So I've just read that you're not supposed to eat pre cut fruits as it has a higher chance of containing bacteria. I've eaten this twice since finding out I'm pregnant and now im slightly worried!!

Where have you read that? For the first 10 weeks I pretty much survived solely on Apple slices (only Asda ones would do 😂😂😂) and never heard of this?

News to me! Ate packs of cut fruit every day through pregnancy.

I'm assuming it means fruit that has been pre cut and left out for a bit e.g. a buffet type situation?

Never heard of this!

I ate it loads. I don't think the NHS advises against this. And surely most of the following of restrictions are to avoid food poisoning which would be more dangerous in pregnancy - is that right?

Any fruit or veg in a bag could contain bacteria. I watched a programme about lettuce bags and the bit of juice at the bottom? Can be bacteria infected. So the advice is to wash everything. I don’t eat lettuce bags anymore.

I saw it on healthline.com, I've looked at nhs website and it doesn't say anything about pre cut fruit. Feeling better now! Thanks ladies

im 29 weeks and pre-cut fruit is a snack I live off.

Uhhh if I would stay away from Google and keep to the NHS website. You'll be fine with your fruit. This is my first baby and I learnt pretty fast to nor Google anything or you'll fall into a black hole of silliness
