Pink tinged discharge - help!

Hello,

I'm 25 weeks pregnant & this afternoon have noticed that on my toilet paper there is a white discharge that is tinged with pink.

It happened last Tuesday as well but I assumed it was because I'd eaten a punnet of strawberries the day before

I've had some mild sharp pains in my pelvic region, but have also experienced pain on & off throughout my entire pregnancy, which I've been told is normal for some women.

As it's a Sunday evening & I'm based in France (and still getting to grips with the language), I'm wondering if anyone has any idea what this may be? I'll be calling my OB first thing in the morning, but currently my husband is away working & I'm sitting around stewing about it.

If anyone could advise it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi - I had some very mild spotting, almost pin-prick amounts. I've had it twice this pg. The first time, I went in to hospital to be checked out (think I was around 28 weeks at the time), and the only thing they could find wrong was some thrush [I'd had no other symptoms whatsoever]. The 2nd time around as baby was moving well, they said it was likely the thrush hadn't cleared and it was probably that. All seems well with baby so far at my latest check-up - i'm now 35 weeks.

There are other reasons as well, which are equally as harmless - if you can feel baby moving and there isn't loads of bleeding, I wouldn't really worry about it - but definitely ring and speak to someone as soon as you can, just for your own reassurance.

Try not to worry too much (esay for me to say, I know). I had bleeding throughout both of my pgs - very frequent with ds & a few times with dd. They diagnosed various things, but at one point my mw told me that actually, docs never get to the bottom of most bleeding in pg - & that it's really really common - she said up to 1 in 3 women bleed at some point (although I've never heard anyone else quote that)

If its very little, and not red, I'm sure its nothing to worry about - although of course worth getting it checked out just in case

Good luck

Many thanks to both of you - you've made me feel a lot better. I've had thrush on & off for a good 8 weeks now, so that must be it. I'll get checked out regardless, but again, thank you for putting my mind at ease.
