For what purpose?

Spritz for bits is amazing if you mean post birth. Don't know how I would of got through that first week without it.

Should've been more clear

I've read about down below oil for before you give birth to help avoid tearing, I've seen sprays that help after birth, but I've seen that many just wondered if anyone had tried any if them and thought they helped or there just a complete waste of money?!

Ps no need for sarcastic comments 🙄

There’s no need for the coy “down below” shite either but here we are! Grin

you are thinking of perineal massage
I think it's more about the massage itself rather than any special oils which may increase elasticity and will increase your familiarity with the area, you should also do pelvic floor exercises for the same reason

When it comes to preparing for labour spraying is pointless - it's perennial massage that's meant to help. Just olive oil should be ok.

Having said that, I religiously did perennial massage every day from 13 weeks pregnant and still managed to get a 2nd degree tear (also had a water birth & didn't lie on back) so some things really are out of our hands sometimes! I'm not saying don't bother but I'm just saying sometimes if you're going to tear, it's going to happen no matter what you do.

You'll be fine op Smile

For after the birth I found pouring Luke warm water while weeing helped loads. Just an empty sports cap bottle does the job, no need for anything fancy.
