Blood clot while pregnant

Hi I’m 33 weeks pregnant now and have had a blood clot in my groin since I was 10 weeks pregnant.
I’m having growth scans as the baby is on 3rd centile and my previous children were on 71st and 85th centile.
Could the blood clot be affecting the growth? The consultants don’t really seem to know much so I was just wondering if anyone has any previous experience of it.
I’m also on blood thinning injections and getting quite scared of bleeding in labour. Can anyone put my mind at rest x

I don’t know about weight but I had a large blood clot in pregnancy, my daughter was born 7lb 3oz. Growth scans are notoriously inaccurate.
With regards to the bleeding in labour, I had a normal water birth, took my Clexane that morning and gave birth at 8.30pm with a normal about of bleeding. They told me to not take my Clexane if I thought I was in labour, so if you do start to feel that way maybe give it a miss. The dose is at its highest 4 hours after taking it and then reduces as time goes on. They scared the life out of me about bleeding but it was absolutely fine!

@TwinkleStars15 they’re scaring the life out of me too so I’m glad to hear from someone who has actually been through it. The midwife thinks they should induce me early so they can monitor the clexane but the consultant wants to see what happens with the baby’s growth so I don’t know if I’m coming or going at the moment but you have really helped to put my mind at rest a bit Thankyou x

@85Sara85 they also tried telling me about induction and I was VERY clear from the beginning that I would not be induced unless by baby was at risk, not because of the Cleaxane. The consultants were horrible (the midwifes were lovely) and talked about haemorrhaging, blood transfusions etc! I did a lot of my own research and the risk really wasn’t that high. I felt that their opinions/advice was based on their fear of something going wrong, not based on research. They also told me to stop my Clexane before labour - as if you can plan it! Haha. So I spent the last couple of weeks over analysing every niggle and debating whether to take it. As it happened, I did take it that morning, had her thy evening and all was fine.
This time I am not going to let them scare me, I will be doing it my way (a home birth hopefully).
Good luck Flowers
P.s the only thing you can’t have on Clexane is an epidural (if you’ve taken your Clexane within 24 hours)
