Me too! Grin except at 38 weeks and second baby. I’ll be anxiously waiting by the phone as my hospital call you and ask you to go in - I had a sweep on Monday and was 2cm so feeling hopeful things will move along nicely but who knows!

I was induced with my first baby. All went well with the birth. No interventions, and a small second degree tear.

It took me a long time from the first pessary to actually being in labour, so I advise bringing lots to do. Be very open to pain relief. I've not had any other labours to compare to, but it hurt more than I thought it would.

Good luck for tomorrow! You're going to do wonderfully.

Have been induced 4 times and all went fine delivered without assistance Etc.

From first pessary to active labour can take more than a day (or be quick)! Take plenty off food and magazines/phone etc.

Take plenty of food, reading material, toiletries and stress balls!
It can take a really long time to kick in but theb give very strong contractions.

A long time ago I was going to be induced (at 42 weeks) and I was shit scared because of all the hirrorcatoriws I'd heard about inductions. I posted on here asking for positive stories (if there were any) and had lots.

Remember that people don't usually mention it if it went well.

I hope you're one of those women.

In the end for me I didn't need to be, so I can't add personal experience!

I was induced with ds 15 years ago tomorrow! It was a fantastic, calm, positive experience. Far from my expectations at the time. He's now a 6ft lad! Hope it goes smoothly op 😊

The horror stories are more likely to be repeated and shared... But for lots of women induction is fine. Take the pain relief you need.. No one gets a medal for not. As you are so far along hopefully your body just needs a nudge towards labour....

For many women it's a slow process so take stuff to amuse yourself... You never know though... My friend had a pessary at 3pm, her partner went home at 9 as no signs to be turned around on way home as she delivered at 11!

Good luck! It'll be fine...

I was induced at 37 weeks with DS2.

Midwives didn't think it would work, nothing favourable etc. Had pessary in at 10am on the Friday, went for a walk, had some food and a sleep and he was born at 7:23am on the Saturday. Labour 1hr 15m.

Sometimes it works really well!

Don’t be scared and be open minded about pain relief!! Labour can take a while to get established so have stuff to occupy you and go for walks as much as you can .Mobile epidural is amazing...why would you not have it? Spend as much time up and mobile using labour ball . Decrease amount of epidural before pushing stage ..reduces likelihood of intervention.Good luck and just think about the beautiful baby you will be having first cuddles with very soon .
