Very dizzy and aching and alone with the kids

Hello,
I'm 29 weeks pregnant with my third, I have two boys 3 and almost 5. My blood pressure has been fairly low but today it's been on the floor I think (not that I have had it measured) - I'm really dizzy, weak and even had a bit of 'lights in front of my eyes' as if i was gonna faint.
Don't celebrate Xmas here, so it's a fairly regular day and my husband is out until about 7.45. The kids are usually in bed by now but I haven't had energy to deal with them, especially because its bath night (technically last night was bath night and I pushed it off because I was too weak, so can't miss again). They know I'm not feeling good so are being pretty wild but right now they've settled down to play.
Do I just leave them to it? My husband will help if necessary when he comes in but he will be very tired and not eaten supper, and needs to go out again at about 8.15pm so not home long.
What do I do?! I simply can't process so please help a tired mom out!

Leave the kids playing.

They are totally fine.

Your husband can eat then put the to bed. Bath not important.

He needs to cancel his 8.15 appointment.

As above and I would also try to speak to a midwife to check if you need to be seen. Make sure you’re well hydrated.

GoodStuffAnnie · 25/12/2019 19:10

You then need a medium term plan to get you through to end of pregnancy.

Should you be on bed rest? Can you get some help in? Can your husband have time off? Do you need a midwife review? Is there anything you can do like make sure you drink enough?

It won’t last forever. The priority is you and your baby.

Call your husband and get him to come home early if possible, kids skip bath (mines gone a week without a bath and survived) and unless your husband is off saving lives tonight ask him to stay at home and go to bed.

Take care of yourself, I've only got the one but remember feeling dizzy and the bone rushing tiredness. Have you got family who can help with the little ones?

Thanks all for the support! Problem is that this is not a short term problem, as @GoodStuffAnnie pointed out, and it's not the first time I've felt like this - sometimes better, sometimes worse, but it's been a crazy pregnancy! I can't call my husband home because of that, if I ever need to go in to hospital or something I need him to come home so need to to be careful when I ask him - otherwise he won't get paid...
Both Dr and midwives have said a few times that the worst thing that can happen is that I would faint - they are not worried, it's not dangerous just awful. I'm keeping drinking.
I have regular help, but she cancelled tonight as she had something on. Kids begining to fight but husband is almost home...

I think salt can bring your blood pressure up. Eat something salty

GoodStuffAnnie · 25/12/2019 21:40

So tough trying to balance it all! I think the key should be (and I know how hard this is) you’re going to have to lower your expectations. Eggs for tea every night weekly bath. Things like that. It’s tough but so are you!! Xx

Thanks, GoodStuffANNie!
I had thought I had lowered my expectations but perhaps they aren't quite low enough - it changed from daily bath to every second day. Truth is that my husband hates it when they are sticky and messy etc, he'd bath them twice a day if he could. But he's not home enough to do that... he does help out a lot when he is around and has been doing the laundry for the past 7 months - no complaints! but i think it would be hard for him if i bathed them less often - he has to look after them when he's home after all.
@Delbelleber, I took some salt and maybe it helped a bit. Might be that the kids are now asleep so I'm less stressed, though.
Husband went out 30 mins late because he waited til they were asleep. From experience when my kids go to sleep late they usually get up very early (5 - 6 am) so wish me luck! Thanks so much for all your support - I'm heading to bed finally.

A thought - if (almost) daily baths are important, could you do them at a different time of the day when you're not feeling as tired - for example in the mornings (or middle of the day)? Take care of yourself x
