Heart rate

Does anyone know if the heart rate is shown on the scan? As in 100bpm etc

I have so many numbers on my private scan, no clue what they mean 😂 would they have said if the heart rate was lower than it should be? I had a miscarriage in the summer so I'm feeling quite anxious about this pregnancy

100bpm would mean heartbeat but it looks quite low to be baby's heart beat, most likely yours.

Ok, so if your scan was quite early, about 5-6 weeks, that's probably baby.

I just googled now.

The sonographer should work it out and tell you. Generally baby's heart rate is higher than an adults.

travellover · 23/12/2019 22:35

My baby's heart rate isn't 100bpm that was just an example. I have no idea what my baby's heart rate is that's why I'm asking if it's on the scan (because there's loads of random letters/numbers I don't understand) Smile

Ok, I understand. I never had written on a scan the baby's heart rate, so I guess they don't put it, unless they give you maybe a photo of the heartbeat measured I think.

It might just be on your report thou.

Only numbers on mine is my dob with a random number at the end of it

travellover · 23/12/2019 23:11

This is it. It says a random number 95 and now I'm worrying because if that was the heart beat then it's extremely low for 10 weeks! Surely they would of said 😩 it's a private company aswell and they were very thorough when looking

Heart rate

The private companies don't always measure heart rate. If they have taken the heart rate, it will be on the report rather than the scan and will be quite clear to spot. Should say bpm after the number and should also be clearly labelled as heart rate.

Nevermind guys - it's PWR, which is power of ultrasound beam used. I feel silly now!GrinGrin
