2nd Trimester All Day Headaches

I'm currently 26 weeks pregnant, and from January will be having extra scans to monitor baby's growth as my first DS was born at 36 weeks as he had stopped growing due to some sissies with my placenta, so I was induced, he was 4lb9.

Next midwife appointment isn't until Jan 10th, and scan during that week too.

I've been suffering with really bad headaches, around my eyes, for the last few weeks, and sometimes they last from when I wake up to when I go to sleep. The last few days this has been the case, it's exhausting and running around after a toddler isn't helping!

When I've phoned the midwives previously they have asked if I have flashing lights or spots in my eyes, which I don't, and if I have any pain at the top of my bump which I also haven't had, although yesterday and today it's been sore when I laugh and feels like a muscular thing, I might have twisted funny or something.

Paracetamol help the headache for a while, but I'm always aware it's there.

Midwives have said over phone that it's mostly too early for pre eclampsia, and as I have no other symptoms, to keep taking paracetamol

Sorry for the long post, at the end of my tether and didn't want to drip feed, but what could be causing them?

The midwives should check your bp and test your urine. That is the bare minimum standard of care.
Also, pregnancy can affect your eyesight, so an eye test would be a good idea, especially if you already need glasses.

Are you sleeping well? Getting enough rest? . If your not this could be the cause of the headaches.. If your not drinking enough throughout the day you may also be getting dehydrated. Is there any chance you could get in with your midwife sooner if its only to get your BP checked out or maybe a walk in centre they would also check out your BP etc.. This may put your mind at ease about it possibly not being PE? X
