Hello! I’m getting a bit fed up now, I’m still down 7lbs from pre pregnancy and I’m still throwing up daily (particularly on an evening). I thought this was supposed to stop by now!! I’m not a big girl in the first place but I feel awful and have been told by my colleagues I look awful as well. When does it really end? Last night I vomited so hard I’m pretty sure I damaged my oesophagus a little, I tasted acid/felt burning whenever I burped last night and felt a lump in my throat! I don’t want to keep throwing up.

Not what you want to hear but it never did stop apart from 2 weeks for me. I found that everyone telling me it would stop at 12 weeks, soon etc wound me up more than if they had just been honest! I completely messed my teeth up I was sick so much. The only thing that really helped was ice cubes, I ate them so much we started buying bags of them as the freezer wasn’t making them quick enough.

I'm 27 weeks and still really sick. Just been throwing up actually! I have a 4yr old that will run into me and rub my back saying "there, there, get it all up" and then look at it and say "ugh that's disgusting!" which kind of makes me smile, but otherwise I just feel like shit all the time.
Occasionally I will have a couple of days in a row where I feel amazing and full of energy and actually (stupidly) think it's over... I make loads of plans with friends and play dates for my son... then I wake up on the morning of the arrangement (like today) and I can't get out of bed without spewing.
Wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't on my own, but the baby's father ran off 8wks ago with my stepdaughters 19yr old riding instructor and he hasn't been heard from since... and there's not much my parents can do because my son won't leave my side unless it's for school!
This baby is active 24/7 and was doing somersaults in my first scan and has done in every scan and check up since - my belly moves like it's swallowed a theme park. My 4yr old was "average" mover and I didn't have the best pregnancy, sickness wise, but nothing compared to this - I honestly think its to do with how much he moves. No foods trigger it - I want all foods but then throw them all up. No smells trigger it (anymore - any smell did during the first trimester, but that's normal).
I have 3mths left to go and have just cried to my friend that I don't know how I'm going to get through them... I just want to enjoy this pregnancy!!!!!!!

Sorry to hijack your post and have a rant on it! I only meant to say, I know how you're feeling... but then everything else came out with it!

I do know how you're feeling though... Thanks

@KittyKat7210 have you been to the doctor?
I was like you and due to get married, was getting to the point I wasn’t going to be able eat anything at my own wedding.
I was put on to omoperzole and cyclizine. Took a couple of weeks and didn’t get rid of it completely but I was able to function.
Probably not what you want to hear, but mine only stopped when my DD came out. She’s now 10 weeks.

Doctor said it’s normal to have morning sickness so didn’t really do anything 🙄

I just hate it, especially at work because I feel like I’m being such a hindrance being in the toilet for so long

Go back and see someone else. You shouldn’t be fobbed off.

jadelouiselaird · 23/12/2019 10:26

You should go back to your doctor or ring the Early pregnancy unit at the hospital (if they have one), they helped me and prescribed me anti sickness tablets, they have really helped me.

flippinehh · 23/12/2019 10:39

Go back and ask for anti sickness medicine. It won't relieve the nausea but does help with vomiting.

Pregnancy sickness is the worse, hats off to you fir managing to go in to work.

You must go back to the doctor. That long term level of sickness is not normal or ok for you to deal with.
