Hello

Just looking for some advice really. I was expecting AF yesterday but instead had the amazing news of a BFPGrin I must be about 4 weeks. I was sure my AF was due as I've been having my usual cramps in my pelvis and that's a sure sign for me to run for a tampax!

It's been happening on and off since yesterday, and along with feeling tired and nauseous, I'm not feeling fab! I called my GP as a precaution but she said as long as there's no bleeding or shoulder tip pain ???!!! Then I should be ok. First pregnancy here so I'm sure I'm over worrying but any reassurance would be great. Thank you xx

I remember being a bit flummoxed that I still had PMT and period pains but all normal. Shoulder tip pain can mean an ectopic pregnancy that's why the doctor was asking. CongratulationsFlowers

I also had normal period aches and pains during early pregnancy (and also some spotting, which is also apparently pretty common). Try not to worry (easier said than done, I know!!) - congratulations!!

I had the same, I was symptom spotting after 4 losses and wanting desperately to be pregnant. I was positive I was out as I had raging pmt, aching back, all my usual pmt symptoms but I was indeed pregnant and am now 15 weeks! Congratulations!! Everything you described is totally normal, u might feel crap for another 8 weeks but then feel amazing!

I had really bad cramps with my first pregnancy. It's your uterus contracting and getting ready for all the changes and growing it's going to have to do. I didn't have them with my second pregnancy, presumably because it's done it all before!

Glad you feel a bit more reassured. Btw,my 'cramps' has just said "Bye mum,off down the pub!" Grin
