Daft question but -

Can you sleep with the side down adjoined to the bed or does it need to be up when you sleep?

Looking at one as an option

Thanks

Some people are ridiculous🙄

I had a snuzpod and it is the best thing ever following birth if you have any injuries as your baby is super close for feeds/changing.

She was in it until 6 months and after that went in her own room in a cot!

My baby never once ended up in my bed, they cant roll for a few months, and i dont have a ridiculously long duvet that would be long enough to smother my child.

If you get one second hand, always get a brand new mattress, mine was £12 from online4baby (wasnt snuz branded)

The NHS just cobbles together random advice from charities.

Lol

I love that I can do lying down feeding with the Next2Me so less disturbed sleep for both me and DS. He’s starting to outgrow it though at 4 months (very long baby) but seeing as we got it second hand with a new mattress it’s been great value.

I used a bedside crib for DS and it was great. I disagree that they are a waste of money. Moses baskets OTOH, don't see the point given how fast they are outgrown. DS slept in pram carrycot downstairs until he outgrew it and then just slept in bedside crib.

We had a Snuzpod but if I was buying again I would get a Tutti Bambini Cozee, it has won awards and looks great. It folds up for travel which means you won't need a separate travel cot until it's outgrown.

AAP says tight blankets. Not sure what the difference is.

Had it and it was nice, easier to pick baby at night. I would say there was no chance of me falling in baby's bed as there is a slight barrier even with the side down, plus you couldn't fit in it unless you were a baby.

For breastfeeding especially was nice, as I could still stay in my bed.

I’m on our second baby in the snuzpod - love it. Can’t say they haven’t both ended up in my bed fairly regularly (and if trey do we adhere to lullaby trust guidelines) though
