I was in the hospital over night last night.. and was at my midwife at 3pm and she tested my urine and all but didnt say anythin about dehydration but from yesterday I tried to drink more a bit more water but not much.. I've had a really bad dry mouth during the night, smelly urine, fainted yesterday.. cold sweats and light headed.. I also got told I had gestational diabetes but I dont think its anythin to do with that as my readings have all been perfect, 5.0 and 5.1, anyone any advice?? Got given iron tablets in hospital but bit confused as the first blood test I done my iron was okay then the 2nd blood test I got down my iron was down so they gave me iron tablets

@cherryblossomgin I was exactly the same before with Diet Coke - could easily drink 7-8 cans per day but last couple of months I've (thankfully) gone right off anything fizzy so I'm drinking lots of plain water with a bit of the raspberry vimto squash added.

Sounds like your B.P. is low - normal is around 120/80.

doublebarrellednurse · 12/12/2019 20:10

Yeah your BP is the low end of normal, mine is too I'm often 90/50 and am dizzy a lot. I'm working full time on my feet all day so you'll be fine at the hair dressers! The more you drink the better you'll feel. Fluids are fluids so drink what you can drink a lot of.

Get up slowly. Your blood pressure drops from lying to sitting to standing naturally and then balances out.

Low iron made me feel dizzy and dreadful

buddhababy2019 · 12/12/2019 20:14

@Penny12355 honestly, not much as I still have the dizzy turns. It just makes me have to wee even more than I already was 🙄

Your blood pressure is low, which is very common in pregnancy and can make you feel faint. You’re also not drinking enough, which will make your blood pressure even lower. Drink more, and get up slowly from sitting or lying down. You’ll be grand.

My BP was 92 over 60 I think but I was lying down for ages in a hospital bed , I think usually its like 104
