I had brown spotting everyday from 4 to 8 weeks. A few times it was heavier and more red and I had a couple of early scans which showed all was ok. I never found a reason for it and the Drs weren’t hugely bothered. I think it’s worth mentioning it to the Dr but hopefully it’s nothing to worry about.

Yeah same, I thought something was wrong. Turned out to be fine. When in labour I mentioned to midwife she just said yeah if it was brownish it was old blood. I felt in limbo until my first scan but everything was perfectly fine! Try not to worry it’s quite common and I do think in many cases it is just the body clearing out old blood in preparation for your 9 month shut in! X

Hi, I had similar at 5 weeks and went to EPU for a scan. All was fine and the midwife suggested that it might have been left over from an implantation bleed. I had it sporadically until about 9/10 weeks and everything was fine.
I think as long as it doesn’t turn bright red and not accompanied by cramps you are all good. I found our EPU really reassuring so you could always call them if you are worried.
Congratulations btw xx
