29 weeks pregnant tomorrow and I am 99% sure I am suffering.

I'm wincing and waddling in pain when walking, it's impossible to roll in bed and I cannot get out of the car easily.

Any advice on how to ease this? I'm not sure if it makes any difference that my baby is growing a few weeks bigger.

Things that helped me:

Hot water bottles.
Baths.
Balancing rest and activity, but not sitting for too long (felt as though I’d seize up).
Seeing an osteopath.
Keeping my legs together and using arms to push up when getting out of bed.
Sleeping with a pillow between my legs.
Keeping legs together when getting out of the car.
Pelvic support belt (mine is a Serola).

Things other people recommended which I haven’t tried or which didn’t work for me:

Co-codamol (GP said occasional use was ok).
Sitting on a plastic bag to swivel when getting in and out of the car.
Physio (still waiting 12 weeks on, hence osteopath).
Pregnancy yoga (am doing it but makes no difference).

Good luck, it’s grim. If it helps, mine has actually improved from about 33 weeks - I have no idea why but I’m not complaining. Now 35 weeks and hoping it lasts...

I had this! Couldn't bloody walk! A physiotherapist worked wonders for me. I called up local physio and paid about £50. She was amazing and I only had slight discomfort the rest of the pregnancy.

Get a support belt or a large tubi grip bandage that goes over your hips and bump. Really helped me.

Agree with pushkin
Except the co-codamol as it doesn't have a positive effect on my bowels which then has a negative impact on the SPD.
Had it from 18 weeks with my second and was on crutches even with everything else - it was agony.
Positive though, post c-section pain was an improvement!!!!

I’ve had SPD with this pregnancy from 20 weeks (now 28 weeks) and I had got to a point where I was in pain from the moment I woke up and could barely walk.
Last week I had acupuncture and I am now totally pain free. It’s been miraculous!!
