How long did it take you to get your BFP?

Sorry to be intrusive, just trying to tell myself that it's not unusual to happen right away!

How long were you trying before you got your bfp? 🙂

First time, it took over a year. It finally happened when we'd given up on trying 'naturally' and had booked an appointment for tests the next month (which we then no longer needed).

The second time round it happened on the very first go! I mean we literally had sex onceGrin and that was it!

6-7 months for first pregnancy i think, second month the second. (we'd just stopped using protection, didn't monitor ovulation. I used an app to track periods and sex, and couldn't really match up any conception with my supposed ovulation after finding out I was pregnant, both times). didn't do anything different that i'm aware of!

someone once told me if you've been trying for a year and nothing's happened, you might want to start investigating fertility - not sure how correct that is but don't get too worried after just 3 months!

First pregnancy - three cycles but I realised we completely missed ovulation on the first, I had v irregular cycles.

Second pregnancy - three cycles.

Didn’t do anything differently on the cycles, I took a very measured approach of it’ll happen when it’ll happen. I didn’t cut any food out, I still had wine, caffeine etc.. I carried on life as normal. I’d have gone insane otherwise. I was at GoApe the day before my missed period this pregnancy.. I knew I might be pregnant but decided to just go have fun as I don’t test until I’ve missed my period. But to caveat, I do fully appreciate I’ve had no fertility issues so have been able to be relaxed.

I took my folic acid & we used conceive+ lube.. I tracked ovulation with cheap internet sticks the second time round as conceiving a baby is a hell of a lot harder when you have a toddler who loves wandering into your room at any given moment & when you are blooming exhausted from said toddlers lack of sleep..

You’ll find a huge range of answers from your question, sadly none of them will tell you your answer.. just a case of hoping & waiting 🧡

First pregnancy - 2nd cycle (super lucky)
Second pregnancy - 5th cycle (as I'd booked an appointment for fertility testing). Ended in miscarriage at 10 weeks
Third pregnancy - 3rd cycle post miscarriage (might have been the 2nd, as the first cycle was a bit weird).

I 100% freaked out when it didn't happen immediately, and it really doesn't help I'm 36 with all the scare stories about age.

With my first baby 6 months. With this one we tried for 8 years and had given up before ending up conceiving whilst on the pill!

DD1 - 2nd cycle
DD2 - 1st cycle

I appreciate how lucky we are for it to happen so quickly both times

1st child 1st cycle, second pregnancy (now pregnant) 6th cycle. The month I conceived with second I did opks and used loads of preseed. Also raised my hips after dtd for good 30 mins. 1st child I was just extremely lucky didn't use opks or anything.

18 months, I had a miscarriage and then 3 weeks later BFP. I tested religiously with first try.

This time 2 months, we weren't really testing the previous month. I only tested the second month cause I felt sick as a dog and I had a niggle I was.

1st cycle but think this is unusual so we must have just got lucky. We did DTD every day (sometimes twice!) for about two weeks cause I wasn’t sure when I would be ovulating. I think DH was probably a bit gutted we didn’t get to ‘try’ for longer. 😂 Good luck, hope you get your BFP soon!
