Due in January and need to get our bedside crib sorted and can't decide between the two...

Anyone have any recommendations or experiences with either of these? When do babies grow out of each roughly etc which is bigger

Thanks

The next2me is bigger I believe. It lasted me until 7/8 months with my DS2 (could have lasted longer but I passed it on to sil for her newborn)

My best friend has the snuzpod both her babies have been out of it by 4/5 months. Advantages if it tho are the top detached so can be carried around / used as Moses basket

We had snuzpod and used it to around 7/8 months. The main reason we got that over the next to me is the legs, we have a divan bed so next to me legs wouldn't fit under whereas next to me sits against the bed. Having the detachable crib helps too Smile

I have a snuzpod. Baby is approaching 6 months and still comfortably in it. Personally I think the next to me are ugly. It’s all plasticy and gross whereas the sunz is wooden. Also has a bit underneath that I store all sleeping stuff on which I like.

Also due in Jan and we have chosen the Snuzpod. Mainly on the aesthetics of it! Personally think it’s much nicer looking than a next to me. I believe they both tilt to help with reflux etc. Also feel it’s less bulky which is useful as my side of the bed where it will be placed is closer to the wall than OH’s.

You don’t need it to let beyond 6 months as the baby will be in their own room in a cot.

Next to me is bigger, we used it next to the bed and also as a transition to bbay being in their own room.

Totally depends on how much money you have, how fussed you are for wood vs plastic, whether the next to me legs will fit under your bed and realistically carrying the snuzpod wouldn't be that practical.

I was given a next to me cot and love it. Snuzpod definitely looks nicer though!

We got a Snuzpod for DC1 mainly because it is a bit smaller - not much space in our pokey bedroom for anything bigger! It does look very smart too, and I was generally very pleased with it. I think DC was in it until about 6/7 months, when he started being able to "crunch" up to sitting by himself. The top is removable but we didn't end up using that feature very much. It's very heavy so no way would I have carried it up and down the stairs by myself.

We ended up with both as we were gifted one. Snuzpod didn’t even get a look in tbh. The idea of being able to lift the top off is a good one but in reality you’d never do it, I was left with such a bad back after pregnancy that I could barely lift dd let alone a whole crib. And the Next2Me is bigger. Dd wasn’t safe in either after 4.5 months when she could sit up so the idea that they’d last longer than that wasn’t true in our case. Expensive bits of kit and we mostly coslept anyway. If you’re looking now, hold off til the sales. We got our next2me half price from John Lewis last Christmas Day online and they sold out within a few hours. Ours was the Dream version which has a one handed pull down side rather than the zips, which seemed much easier.

Oh thank goodness I thought this was a name thread

We had a divan and used the next2me, the legs fold in so don't be put off by the above comment.

By the time i was choosing, it was clear i was having a big baby so went for next2me as bigger, i didn't want her to grow out of it before six months.

Congratulations and good luck. Enjoy your little bubs x
