Morning Sickness help

So I'm currently 4 weeks 3days into my pregnancy based on LMP. 7 years ago when I had my last child I suffered with severe morning sickness.

Doctors tried me on two different tablets but nothing helped couldnt even keep water down. It then resulted in being admitted to hospital and put onto a drip. They gave me an injection in my bum which then stopped the sickness. This went on for 3 weeks and I lost nearly a stone because I couldn't eat or drink.

Wlel anyways I'm pregnant again and very early on but this morning I woke up felt bit funny then started to gag like mad. Nothing come up just loads of water and horrible stomach cramping.

Could this really be the start of morning sickness already?! I work this time round so I wouldn't be able to afford to have any days of work. Anyone experienced something similar so early on?

Thank you

I've had awful, debilitating morning sickness with each of my pregnancies.

I'm currently 10 weeks pregnant and following my midwifes advice and taking a vitamin b6 supplement. I think it might have helped, I don't feel as nauseous this time around. But as each pregnancy is different it's difficult to say what helps.

Get to your GP & get started on medication now. There is some evidence to suggest the earlier you start, the more successful meds are.

I’m on my second HG pregnancy & I’ve needed the strongest anti sickness both times & had several hospital admissions. My sickness started pretty much from day dot. I was off work for 8 weeks this time. Do you not have a sickness policy that would allow you time off if needed? Or do you work for yourself? I got full pay the whole time so while the guilt was really awful, financially it was fine.

Have a potter on the website Pregnancy Sickness Support. They are a charity & so helpful. They also have a comprehensive guide to medication that is sometimes useful to show your GP.

Hope you are OK, it’s awful.

Meant to say that the supplement is in addition to prescription anti-emetics. They're a must for me x
