Anyone else had to fake drinking alcohol?

Will be 6 weeks at the end of this week and I have a big house party for a friends birthday on Saturday. I let my hair down at these things and drink with everyone but obviously can't so I'm not sure how to get around it without someone asking me if I'm pregnant. I know I will raise a lot of suspicion if I'm refusing drinks.

It's a BYOB thing so I was thinking maybe I could get away with taking a vodka bottle full of water and some lemonade haha.

I agree with a PP say you have cysitius. Quite a lot of people will just tell you about their awful story of cystitis and if they don't know what it is then just point towards that region and do a grimace and most people will happily leave you alone.

Just had my BFP and have a hen party on Saturday! Going to be obvious as my family are all big drinkers. Christmas, the wedding and New Year the same month. Going to be interesting for sure!

Yep... With my family Christmas day after a recent miscarriage. I was overdue a week, over the counter tests weren't showing anything but practice nurse had kindly checked a sample Christmas eve.

As I'd already had a miscarriage people knew we were trying so antibiotics wouldn't have worked... But it felt far to early to mention it.
I drove and walked around with the same glass of wine for my husband to neck when no one was watching. No one said anything or noticed..... Except my mother who later told my dad I looked pregnant again (she knew before I tested positive each time)

Until we felt safe telling people, I was the designated driver and that was why I couldn't drink. To be honest I wasn't a huge drinker pre-pregnancy though ironically the most I'd drunk in months was the day baby was conceived...
