I am 40 weeks +3 and the midwife just told me today that my baby is back to back. Is there any point in me even trying to turn them round or should I hope they come soon and forget about it

My first was back to back other 2 were normal they advise it makes labour harder and longer as babies head isn't putting pressure on ur cervix as it should. If u feel for and healthy enough get down on all fours and scrub the skirting boards that position for a good amount of time is meant to help baby turn

All 3 of mine were back to back nothing I did would make any of them turn xx

If you did want to give it a go, this website is quite useful for ideas on getting babies to move into the best position: spinningbabies.com/learn-more/baby-positions/posterior/

Back to back might be the baby’s natural position if you have a naturally backward tilted / posterior cervix. If you do want to turn then what worked for me is walking around in a cold house for ages with my bump exposed and my back nice and toasty - and baby did turn to face the warm part and has touch wood stayed that way.

Only scrub floors etc if your baby is head down. If not it could then it could make a breach baby settle deeper into the pelvis which isn’t good

I wasn't told my baby was back to back. She came out face up with her eyes wide open! It didn't feel any different to my other labour, other than it was a whole 13 hours quicker! She was born within 20min of waters breaking.
