Bending over forward - 38 weeks, risk to baby?

Hi all

I keep dropping things on the floor and asking my partner to retrieve them or waving goodbye to them for the foreseeable, except tonight when I dropped a tablet.

I bent forward picked up and it felt like I was crushing my insides!

Does anyone know if this is safe for me/baby?

It was like a deep aching pain - like something pressing hard inside.

I'm Rh - as well so I'm not sure whether it'd require an anti-D (I had one recently)

Thanks!

I am as far along as you and can bend forward fine though. I’ve even been told by the midwife it’s good preparation for labour and will bend forward while on the ball and while sitting too.

I don’t think you should be feeling any kind of deep pain though so maybe get it checked out

Cheers Grumpy

Pain seems to have subsided apart from the odd ache now. I gave up bending forward a while ago tbh! Impressed you can still manage Grin

Glad to hear the pain has subsided.
I would say (no expert) if your baby is having the same movements just to keep an eye on everything.

I try to avoid bending if I can but it's impossible to stop entirely! It's sore when I do so

All good now guys Smile thank you for the replies! X

I'm also 38 weeks and Rh-. How do you get anything done without bending?

CmdrCressidaDuck · 21/11/2019 11:28

It's just uncomfortable. Full term babies arent squishable and will be fine.

Prettyexpensiveasirecall · 21/11/2019 22:55

Lois - it wasn't a normal bend over. Usually I manage to manoeuvre better
