Worried feeling tight and achy in belly isn’t normal at 15weeks

I’m 15w2days. I’ve woken up past few days with what I can only really describe as an achy belly and hips. It feels muscular. I had assumed this would happen later when I was really stretching but not this early. I googled it and kept getting ‘signs of second trimester miscarriage’ and that has freaked me. I’ve had multiple losses and this is the furthest I have got. The achiness is mostly hips and lower belly and is constant. Are this growing pains? Anyone else get this?

I had this at around this time. I take it you’re not bleeding or spotting?

At 16 weeks I had the most horrendous lower cramps and thought something was seriously wrong and it was growing pains. Everything starts to get stretchy!

If you’re really concerned call your midwife, but it’s common at this stage in pregnancy Smile

No bleeding or cramping (cramping in the past has been very low and came in waves) Ok so I just try embrace it and let things expand.

It sounds normal to me. Google "round ligament pain". Your skin won't be stretching much yet but there's a lot going on inside! Try sleeping with a pillow between your knees for the achy hips.

I’m almost 15 weeks and wowww I’m achy too. It’s everything moving and stretching and your body accommodating this new baby.
If you’re worried, speak to your doctor or midwife. Dr Google isn’t going to make you feel better, but it seems very common at this stage of pregnancy to start getting hip/backache.

Good advice. My partner said I slept all last night with my leg bent and I think I was trying to support my hips and belly a bit without realising it. Think it’s time for some trusty support pillows.

Good that you aren’t bleeding Smile

Obviously I am not a doctor and you can always check with your midwife if you’re worried, but it’s definitely normal to have these sorts of pains at this stage Smile
