Hello! I’m a teacher and parents tend to club together at Xmas/end of year and get one big voucher. Last Xmas got £175 Westfield voucher that I haven’t spent and it expires in 2 weeks! Also have my summer one and a couple more John Lewis vouchers from birthdays that total to around £300.

Want to put it towards something/some things for baby but really not sure what. Does anyone have anything they got from there that’s been really good? Something bigger like car seat/buggy or smaller things both an option. There’s the Cybex Aton car seat that looks great but it’s a lot of money. Only 14 weeks so not got anything yet.

Never been in the position before where I literally have to spend so much money and worried I will end up taking easy route and buying something for myself because so overwhelmed.

Thanks so much!

If you go into John Lewis they will extend the time left on the voucher for another year so you can spend them at your leisure later , that’s what I did with mine a couple of years ago .

We got our chicco next to me from John Lewis recently, they had the best price for it

I would browse car seats (unless you want one of the car seats that come with proms) or put it towards a pram at this stage. Spend time browsing though and really think about which is right for you. Any left over I would get bits for myself like a new fluffy dressing gown or maternity wear

According to the OP, the vouchers are mostly Westfield vouchers, not JL, so although she can spend them there, JL may not be able to extend them.
The handheld vacuum idea is great but I currently can’t use mine without a pair of toddlers grabbing on to it and running through the thing I was trying to clean. So I‘d wait with that.
If you have a dishwasher but not all your saucepans are dishwasher safe, replace them with ones that are. Saves so much time.
Don’t buy yourself non-maternity clothes, I‘m 2 st lighter after breastfeeding than before getting pregnant and being on my feet all day and I have so many clothes I can’t wear.
Don’t buy shoes, pregnancy can make your feet go up in size.
Otherwise a big purchase such as a cosleeping cot or buggy is a great idea. If you don’t open it, I assume you can return it if you change your mind.

John Lewis sell some lovely jewellery why not treat yourself to something nice to remind you of your pregnancy

A coat as previously suggested, some fabulous jewellery and Christmas shopping.
Use the summer one on baby later?

I’d also read up safe sleeping advice before buying a Sleepyhead.

If I had this I'd invest in some really nice new sheets & duvet covers (& pillow and winter & summer duvets, if you need them) for all the beds in the house. I've been meaning to get us some because the old ones are fraying & full of holes, but decent linen is so bloody expensive so I keep putting put off...
