Hi just thought I'd reach out incase anyone else is expecting triplets!

I'm only just 7 weeks, but had an early six week scan last week. The scan showed three individual sacs and three little heartbeats 😳

My sickness is awful, I'm really struggling to keep anything down!

We are overjoyed with the news of triplets, but are extremely worried as this is a high risk pregnancy !

Just wondered if anyone had any experience, advice, or in the maybe someone in the same position ! Xxx

Congratulations on the triplets.

I am just over 16 weeks pregnant with twins and I have a 5 1/2 month old daughter. I have really bad sickness this pregnancy, I have HG and I’m on medication for it but it’s not helping.

Helena112 · 12/12/2019 12:47

@Court1994 thank you Thanks hope you start feeling better soon! the hospital won't give me any medication for the sickness 🤢 not sure how I'd cope with a young child and feeling so sick! Your doing amazing xxx

How fabulous, massive congratulations.

mynameisnotmichaelcaine · 12/12/2019 16:17

Aww, how lovely. I teach triplets, they're in Year 9. Two non identical boys and a girl. They're great, and very much individuals.

Sexnotgender · 12/12/2019 16:18

Wow, congratulations!!

A couple my husband knows had triplets, they already had 2 under 3😱

MondeoFan · 12/12/2019 16:34

I know 2 people that had triplets. Both have 2 girls and 1 boy.
Both gave birth around 32/33 weeks.
They were both told to take 1 week at a time.
They found it overwhelming-the pregnancy plus the first 2 years, they seek to have pretty much nailed it after that

yellowallpaper · 12/12/2019 17:06

How are you doing OP?

CaribouCarafe · 30/03/2020 09:17

Congratulations!

I've been following this instagram for a while and am in awe of these parents: triplets of copenhagen

Sending you best wishes!

thethirdbar · 30/03/2020 18:31

ah congrats! like previous posters, i am having two and the initial shock was overwhelming. regardless of how loved and wanted your babies are i think it is totally normally to feel completely overwhelmed and i definitely grieved for a while for the pregnancy / life i had 'planned' - so i just wanted to say allow yourself to do that, i think it's totally normal to feel all kinds of crazy emotions at such huge news. at 23 weeks though the idea of twins is starting to feel a bit more 'normal' to me and i am definitely feeling more excited than i am terrified now - so hopefully the the same will be true for you!

i would obvs recommend you do lots of research on multiples - TAMBA / twins trust is a good resource and they have various antenatal webinars etc which are helpful. there's also a multiples forum here on MN though it's a bit less active than the pregnancy forum.

i was already a high risk pregnancy due to BMI, even moreso with it being multiple - but i am actually looking at this as a positive thing as it means i get more scans and touchpoints to know that everything is going ok in there which is so nice - i have a scan every 4 weeks and i expect with having triplets yours might even be every 2 weeks, so much reassurance!

huge congrats again mama Smile

thethirdbar · 30/03/2020 18:32

ah i've just seen this was an older thread! so hopefully you've already dealt with all that coming-to-terms stufff... my points still stand for anyone else who stumbles this way :)

Beau2020 · 30/03/2020 18:44

Wow, congrats! Good luck with the pregnancy x

Helena112 · 01/04/2020 11:58

Thank you girls 💕 I'm now 26 weeks and the C Section has been planned for the 4th of May.

We've had a few bumps along the way, we have a 67% size difference between the biggest triplet and the smallest one, also an issue with backwards cord flow. We have been told to prepare for the worst wit our smallest triplet 😔 just so heartbreaking to get so far... but we are staying positive for the other 2 💕

We have weekly scans - all very scary with with this Coronavirus. No better time to be pregnant with high risk triplets than in the middle of a global pandemic !
