Hi, found out I was pregnant this week after two previous miscarriages. I'm trying not to let the past effect this pregnancy but I have had cramps for the last 3 days .. my period was due yesterday & that was the worst for cramps. They are intimidating, come and go .. no bleeding. Been super tired, Thursday and Friday but not so much today.
Is it normal? It's so hard to know how much is normal and when to worry. With my miscarriages I always bled before I had cramps !
Is anyone similar position around 4 weeks pregnant . I feel as though I'm just going to gush down there & running to the toilet but nothing x

@louisepottsx I'm in the 2nd trimester now and can assure you, they are normal and I'm afraid they will continue on and off during your pregnancy! Easier said than done but try not to worry! Even some bleeding is ok.. you are very early on so you'll be conscious of every little niggle. See a GP if the cramps become unbearable or you feel faint.

It is so very hard not to let previous miscarriages cause worry in subsequent pregnancy. It is completely understandable to read the worst into every twinge Sad

I have had two successful pregnancies, two miscarriages, and am currently 18 weeks pregnant. This pregnancy came with worse period pains than any of my periods or previous pregnancies, and is now more uncomfortable than any previous pregnancy too. No idea why and baby looks to be healthy and thriving.

I hope your pregnancy continues and the cramping eases soon. Cramping feelings really can be the muscles stretching and moving even in very early pregnancy. If you get to the point of pain rather than discomfort do seek medical advice Thanks

Thanks the both of you ❤️ I'm really trying to stay positive .. but even one day when I don't feel any symptoms I'm like no has something stopped :( they have eased off today so far so maybe it was implantation . A lot is happening to our bodies so I suppose we are going to feel some pains it's just as so many symptoms also are linked to miscarriages xxx

The day i found out i was pregnant with my 2nd (around 6 weeks) i had the most awfull period cramps i was in agony, i thought i was about to have the worst period ever. For some reason i tested and of course found out i was pregnant.. the cramps seemed to ease off.

It can be normal so i wouldnt really worry alot of women go through pregnancy having cramps every month around the time af was suppose to be due. X

Hi

I'm currently 4 weeks pregnant to. I have had two miscarriages this year also. I absolutely no exactly how you feel. I am also experiencing period cramps. And last night I woke up in a sweat with the worse pain Iv had since my miscarriages. I was adamant I'd start bleeding again but I haven't yet. I'm absolutely terrified. Best of luck to you. I hope you get your rainbow baby 💐

@chloeemma awww bless you hun😢 I ended up in a&e with my pains they were so bad I was having panic attacks in my sleep because the pain was so bad & it ended up all being ok on my scan if that gives you any reassurance. I'm 6 weeks tomorrow, still having cramps and really bad back ache but hoping it's all normal . My miscarriages didn't have any of these symptoms only when I was actually passing the pregnancies so fingers crossed 🤞 a hot water bottle helps if you have one :) xxxx

Normal. I was told provided you feel tired / nauseous that cramps and even brown / pink bleeding aren’t necessarily negative signs that early. Suggest if you’re worried you ask the GP for a referral to the EPAU / ADAU at your local hospital - they can then arrange an earlier viability scan.
