I'm guessing the answer to that is going to be no! Pregnant for the 4th time in 17 months, previously all losses but now on loads of meds and already had 3 scans (I'm only 9 weeks + 5) and everything has been perfect.

This is the further I've ever made it and we're genuinely optimistic BUT I keep getting myself in a right tizz about all the possible things to worry about! I had some slight bleeding and went for a private scan at 6 weeks, before it I was inconsolable sobbing as I thought I was losing this one too. Everything was fine, before both nhs scans I was sobbing at home even though there was nothing to worry about!!

I had my booking in appointment Thursday which was fantastic and now my latest thing to worry about is the 12 week testing, especially Edwards and patau, if the downs test was positive we'd continue with the pregnancy.

I guess I don't know what I'm expecting you lovely ladies to say, maybe just share ur experiences of the 12 week testing? I had to give up work after the 3rd miscarriage as I wasn't mentally prepared to return one week after it as my employer wanted me to (wtf? 🙄) so I have a lot of time to worry and research online!!

Thanks in advance for any replies, I feel like this fire is a fantastic support 👍

To be honest, no. Pregnancy is just the start.. once they are here, there’s even more to worry about! My toddler gives me a heart attack several times a day!

I do think it’s worth trying to find some coping strategies sooner rather than later, rather than googling the bad stuff! Being a parent is a lot of responsibility & you love your small human more than you could imagine! It’s normal to feel nerves & anxious about the milestones, especially after losses, but if it’s at the point it’s becoming irrational & taking over your thoughts etc, then worth either speaking to someone or having a browse online for some tips! Smile

Hope all goes well with your pregnancy!

No but I found the first trimester is awful. All got a bit better for me after 12 week scan. I'm on my 3rd pregnancy in 13 months and currently 21 weeks.

Oh and BTW I find the worry of having a child is notvthe same as during pregnancy as pp suggested. I can see my child and have more control over what happens to him.

I'm with you @rainbow1982, this is my third pregnancy in 12 months, my last being a mmc so no symptoms at all that I had had a miscarriage.

Already I have been to the GP for loss of symptoms at 7 weeks which resulted in a trip to the EPU for a scan (all in my head as there was a nice strong heartbeat) a week later I panicked and asked my mum to take me to A&E because of spotting - another trip to EPU for another scan again all fine.

My EPU have been amazing, they remembered me from the last 2 times and have booked me in for a 10 week scan just to set my mind at rest after I told them how anxious I have been feeling. They have also said if I get any more symptoms to give them a call direct. It's like standing on a trap door waiting for something to go wrong.

No but then I got all the way to the end and one of my babies died neonatally.

Oh I forgot to add, one thing that is helping though is keeping a diary week by week, I've been using "the 9" book, it's more of a mum to be book than a baby book which I find a lot better. I'll link it below...

Not fully. However after a prior mc at 16 weeks finally today after 20 week scan (I'm 21 week tomorrow) I feel a whole lot better than I have for the last 17 weeks since getting my bfp. So basically you will worry throughout but will get to a point where it calms down
