Do you all have a nickname for your baby? I'm 6 weeks 4 days and I feel like I need to give the baby a nickname soon 🥰

Bump or baby. He actually has a name but I haven't used it for him yet, feel like I should wait until he arrives

Jelly bean. It's from the app that compares the size of the baby to a sweet. That must have been at about 6 weeks and we're now 14+4 but it's stuck ☺️

Really original but just baby. It's going to be weird when baby is no longer baby and has a name!

When I was fed up with nausea during the first trimester, 'spawn' was the term of choice. It quickly turned into a joke between DH and myself, so Spawn she was the whole way through.

Butter ball

goodnightsugarpop · 08/11/2019 11:41

oh mine's had loads of nicknames. We got really into one of those websites that tell you what size the foetus is each week by comparing it to fruit or vegetables. So it's been lemon, peach, avocado etc Grin

SleepingStandingUp · 08/11/2019 11:44

DS was Shrimp cos that's what the app picture looked like for week 6 when we found out. It's not really a good nickname for a boy tho so it got dropped at birth when he was a boy

Currently pregnant with twins and they the Twiglets, sometimes Piglets as they're both around 75th percentile so big babies

just "baby". Or "new baby" as DC is just 1 year old and occasionally still referred to as "baby", too
