Patch of skin at top of bump feels burnt?

Hi all

Over the last week or so I have noticed I have a patch of skin, maybe the size of the lid from 4pt of milk, is super painful and sore to touch - almost feeling like I've scalded it with boiling water or its sun burnt - at the top right of my bump.

It feels hot to touch whereas the rest of my bump feels cool or "normal" , and I can barely stand to have my clothes rubbing over the area so tend to walk around at home with my tummy out.

The area does not look red or sore to the eye.

I have googled and it hasn't really given me any info.

I'm 30 weeks pregnant.

Could this be from baby kicking me higher up and causing some bruising? It doesn't feel painful inside , it's all external like on my skin so I'm not sure what it could be.

My only other guess would be my skin stretching, but it's weird it's literally only a small patch of skin rather than my whole bump or a larger area at least.

Anyone else had this? Or have any idea what it could be? And should I be worried? Lol.

Thanks! X

It's your skin stretching and that's why it's sore. Massage some bio-oil or similar onto it

It probably is your skin stretching, but I'd mention it at my next appt anyway just to be sure

I had this too! It's your skin stretching. It was so so sore I couldn't touch it. Like a very bad bruise. You can mention it to your midwife though if you are worried.

I had this too! Asked midwife & she said it sounded normal although didn't say anything to do with skin stretching. I didn't have this with baby number 2 so makes sense as my skin had already been stretched before!
