Anyone sick of being pregnant?

I know this sounds ungrateful but I am just so sick of being pregnant. I spent years trying to get pregnant and having treatment and I thought I'd just suck it up and be ok with the discomfort etc. (Second child)

However I'm 30 weeks and just so fucking over it. I've had hyperemesis all the way through. My anxiety has become worse. I'm tired all the time. I have no energy to make food. I can't breathe. I wake constantly with hip pain and have to shuffle around all the time. I have so many anxieties about the birth (c section).

I miss food so so much. Living on boring food whilst also feeling guilt over the babies nutrition has really taken its toll. I never want to see bread or peanut butter or cereal or milo again. I want to eat chicken and a big salad and for it to actually taste good.

I feel quite down and I can't figure out how I'm going to keep this up another 8 weeks.

Rant over.

I love feeling my hard bump and her wriggling but that's the only good thing about pregnancy! It'll be a fat overhanging mess next week. Everything else about pregnancy is awful. Im not glowing - im spotty, nauseous, have spots, piles, nipples that feel like they've been stapled, dodgy hips and ankles, insomnia and my thighs and bum are showing the impact of sausage rolls (strange pregnancy craving)! I'm getting CS this Friday and need to get so much stuff done before then but have no energy. I'd like to have a break from pregnancy for a week, get shit done, drink a bucket of wine and then lie on a sofa the last few days until she comes. Oh well! Congratulations everyone- it'll be worth it.

I'm 32 weeks and so tired all the time, can't sleep properly, breathless, palpitations, ache all over, feel like an old lady. Constant horrible taste in mouth. Zero energy, feel so fat, every time I move it hurts

Nc77 · 28/10/2019 21:48

I feel you! 35 weeks now and I’m ready to take back my body.

shrutefarm · 28/10/2019 22:52

Oh god yes, the taste in the mouth! What is up with that? Everything I eat tastes awful and the aftertaste too. I can't wait for that to fuck off.

I woke up to pee 5 times last night. 8 hours in bed. So waking about every 1.5 hours? Getting about as much sleep now as with a newborn!

52shrutefarm same here, up in the night to pee constantly, can't get comfy, not getting much sleep so feel shattered during day. And the taste, I agree, even brushing my teeth makes no difference

Sleepycat91 · 29/10/2019 09:35

Im so grateful for this post🙈 second i hit 30 weeks it was like thats it, im done! My 1st was a 34 weeker and im 31 weeks tomorrow so im making myself feel better by counting down to that point. I think it was when i got to 30 weeks i realised i could have another 12 weeks left and it caused a proper wobbler!
It already feels like ive been pregnant for 50 years, the bellys getting in my way, ive had SPD since 8 weeks and sleep which is normally my favourite thing, i now dread and ive had enough if you cant tell🙈

LHMB · 29/10/2019 18:32

Not to mention the heamorrhoroids and stomach issues

fonxey · 29/10/2019 19:10

Enjoyed being pregnant up to 30 weeks. Had a fantastic chest and second trimester. Now I'm almost 34 weeks and so over it. Doesn't help i have a cold at the moment which had turned into a neverending cough and I'm just knackered from coughing my lungs aren't exactly functioning at full capacity, I'm wheezing. I feel like a truck has run me over.

How do people do this with work and another child? How? I'm knackered just getting up to go to the loo. By the thine I've done a 3 point turn to get out of bed I'm ready to sit back down again.

theydontknowweknow · 29/10/2019 19:19

I'm 35 weeks and so ready for this little lady to come, the thought of another 7 weeks makes me want to cry a little. I'm a hormonal mess who has had a break down at least once a week since I hit the 3rd trimester. Had SPD for a while now and physio has said there's nothing else she can do on top of what i'm doing. Started to feel sick every day and my head is constantly banging, oh and the tiredness and being uncomfy is unbearable!!

AnxiousandExcited · 29/10/2019 21:27

Re the taste in my mouth, for me personally I've figured out that it is sweetener that is doing it (I never had it like this with my other 2) - most cheaper squashes and drinks have sweetener instead of sugar now, because of the sugar tax, and i can't find a single squash which has only sugar. When I changed to fruit juice/water for a couple of weeks, the taste basically disappeared, today I had squash again and it's back full force.

annienone · 29/10/2019 22:02

38+4 and desperate for littles ones arrival. Everything has become a struggle and I'm giving up on life... trying to be a lady of leisure.. r&r isn't the same when daytime tv is so terribly shocking!

shrutefarm · 29/10/2019 23:12

Sorry to hear that @theydontknowweknow
My only happy place is bed atm and even that is uncomfortable! I empathise. Every time I think of another 8-9 weeks I feel panic.

@AnxiousandExcited that is so shit that they've done that to drinks in the uk. I really can't see how on earth sweetener, which is not healthy at all, is any better than sugar. It's appalling that the choice has been taken away from people. I can make up my own mind about whether I can eat sugar! It hasn't happened in Australia but I do notice more and more drinks have changed.

I haven't noticed too much difference with what I eat vs taste in my mouth. The only thing that I really noticed are two minute noodles.

AnxiousandExcited · 29/10/2019 23:18

@shrutefarm Yes, i know. I have always tried to stay away from sweetener (I have no weight problem so it's not an issue) but now you can't even buy more expensive squash with sugar. My in-laws live in Melbourne - maybe I'll ask them to buy me some and ship it :)
I wonder what chemicals are in the 2 minute noodles?

anonnancy · 01/11/2019 12:31

Feeling really low today. Just totally fed up. My bump is hurting so badly today, like it's been scalded on the top, I can barely stand anything touching it even clothes brushing up against the skin. Can't sleep properly. Constant heartburn.
I'm on my own all day as I am currently signed off work due to PGP so just feel super lonely and sad.

Hmph.

Sad
Weathergirl1 · 01/11/2019 12:49

I think cordials like Bottle Green are sweetener free? Obviously a bit more expensive, but worth it. I agree that it's a pain in the proverbial the way they've replaced sugar with sweeteners - I had to stop drinking cranberry juice for breakfast because there is now no sweetener free version 😠 I've been mostly drinking water all pregnancy - filtering tap water in a Brita filter and then keeping it in a jug in the fridge has made it palatable.

shrutefarm · 01/11/2019 20:07

@anonnancy I'm really sorry to hear that. Sad Is the baby in a funny position for your bump to be hurting? I know mine gets tender when there's a foot wedged under my ribs.
This week has been spectacularly shit for me too so I commiserate. No particular reason, just thinking how far away 8-9 weeks seems and bloody fed up.

OP posts:
shrutefarm · 01/11/2019 20:09

Btw do you have Netflix? Maybe we can recommend something to watch if you're alone all day.

I have a few things left to get for baby so I'm hoping I can distract myself with shopping.

OP posts:
shrutefarm · 01/11/2019 20:10

@Weathergirl1 what about juice boxes etc? Are they all sweetened too? I love cranberry juice. Sweetener would destroy it!

OP posts:
Weathergirl1 · 01/11/2019 20:12

@shrutefarm the only carton I found that wasn't was M&S ones but even those now have sweetener in them so I have up. I now have apple juice with my breakfast and pray I never to get cystitis again!

Weathergirl1 · 01/11/2019 20:12

*gave

LHMB · 02/11/2019 09:24

Same here, feeling very low, I'm barely sleeping at all, every part of my body hurts, it's uncomfortable when the baby moves, I'm struggling and finding it difficult to breathe, they want to put a 24 hour heart monitor on me as I have a weak heart and am out of breath all the time. Still another 7 or 8 weeks to go, I'm 33 weeks tomorrow

anonnancy · 03/11/2019 02:40

@shrutefarm it's horrible isn't it. Had a better day today as had a 4D scan and saw bubbas face, almost made all the pain and misery worth it! I have 9 weeks on Monday til my due date, but the thought of it potentially being 11 weeks is making me sad lol!

Watching The Crown atm on Netflix.... still on first series so hoping that keeps me busy... and I need to start the new series of Power but any other recommendations throw them my way!

Hope everyone is feeling a bit better today x

annienone · 04/11/2019 12:53

39+2 and woke with d&v today. Not sure if it's the start of something or just a bug but here's hoping 🤞🏼
