I'm 29 weeks and thinking about packing my bag this week, first DC was 6 weeks early so I'm a bit nervous and want to be prepared! I'm having a planned section if all goes to plan :)

So I'm worried I'll miss something important as the last time was 5 years ago, so far I have:

For me:
Nightgown
Dressing gown
Shower slippers
Room slippers
Towel
Maternity pads
Breast pads
Stretchy underwear
Toiletries
Snacks
Phone charger

For baby:
Size 0 nappies
Wipes
Bottle + ready made formula
Muslin
3 sleepsuits
3 vests
Hat & scratch mittens
Pramsuit
Dummies

What am I missing?! Xx

I think you got most covered there tbh are you suppose to take your own bottle/formula though I'm on my 3rd baby and they provide you with baby milk if your not breastfeeding in little bottles for baby but may not do in every area...so I would double check that one just so you dont take it if you dont need it but apart from that I can't think of anything else you would need apart from of course car seat but you cant pack that lol xx

Blanket for baby is the only thing I think your missing

Get pre made bottles with sterile teats! Sooo much easier for hospital

Flip flops in case the slippers are too warm also for maybe wearing while showering.

What size are the 3 sleep suits in? I'd pack tiny, newborn and 0-3m as you never know what they'll fit into from birth (even with extra scans). A few bits in each of the 3 sizes is best imo.

Good luck!

Lucazade for labour maybe too

Nursing bra if you're planning to BF?
I've also packed a few things for DH in mine - boxers, a t-shirt, and a washbag. I work in a hospital and all too often I encounter the devoted relatives of patients who've been by their family member's bedside for 72 hours without a shower or brushing their teeth 😕 Hopefully you'll be in and out of the hospital without too much hanging around, but in case you end up having to stay for a couple nights and your birth partner is planning to stay with you the whole time...

Clothes for going home in!! For you I mean, not the baby, it can wear it's sleepsuit. Do not wear lace up shoes like I did and then not be able to get them on.

I'm planning to combo feed, and with my history of tiny preterm baby I don't want to mess around so will give him a bottle soon after he's born, we're choosing hipp organic because my first DC did realy well on it so that's why I'm packing my own formula.

Oh yes baby blanket, I've got a few will pack one!

I've packed newborn size suits, there is no way baby will be fitting into 0-3 right after he's born, but I've got my sons tiny baby clothes washed and ready in case I need to take them!

And yep packed my flip flops thanks!
