Hi, looking for a bit of advice! I’m 25+3 and some days I feel my baby move constantly and really strong kicks! Other days I feel like she doesn’t really move and the movements aren’t that strong. Is this normal at this stage? Is anyone else experiencing this? It’s majorly stressing me out! I feel like I’ve barely felt her move at all today but last night had really strong kicks! Last Saturday/Sunday I barely felt any movement then the next few days I had loads!

I'm 27 weeks and feel pretty regular movement. Sometimes I get a few hours where he's less/not active but if it was any more than that I would phone up. If I start to worry I will have a cold/hot sugary drink and lay on my side and normally he will start to move. I haven't phoned in at all during this pregnancy yet but went in twice to be monitored with my last baby, both for reduced movement. The midwives are lovely and helpful and would rather you go in if you have any concerns about movement at all.

Hey so your just a few days behind me and I have regular movements but I have found if I'm compeltly knackered/stressed I dont feel him move as much, it has worried me a couple times but I've done as pp has said lay on side and had a sugary drink and hes then started moving about. Sometimes I think if we are preoccupied then we dont actually feel them moving even though they are. Keep an eye on it and if baby doesn't move as much or you are worried please phone to get seen too they dont mind and would rather you go in with baby kicking like mad than you leaving it and something being wrong. Sometimes baby also may be faced a different way so when shes kicking moving you may not feel it as much and sometimes they probally have lazy days but you should still be feeling regular movements xx

I was in for reduced movement & they said not to worry about the strength of the kicks, only the frequency. They count everything from a flutter to a kick as movement.

When you're moving it will rock the baby to sleep.

Echo everyone else, cold sugary drink & lie on your left side in a quiet place & really concentrate. See how many you feel over an hour.

Hospital told me they're happy with 10 movements in 2 hours.

If you're still concerned contact your mw, thats what they're there for. Please don't sit worrying & let time pass.

I waited 3 days, it was all fine but I'm glad I got it checked. They were very nice & my mw told me never to leave it that long.

Thanks to everyone for the advice. I can def still feel her move today but it’s just not as strong as yesterday! It’s so stressful. I’m glad I now know it’s not about the strength more the actual movement.

I had that too for quite a while. Midwife said they're not worried about the pattern of movements before 28 weeks, just that there is movements. I'm 26 weeks now and over the past two weeks movements have become much more regular instead of being bursts of activity vs. nothing at all!
