Second thread of the day, forgive me.

As mentioned on the other thread, I am 22 weeks. I haven't felt any movement yet. This is my first baby but I would have thought I would of had at least some butterflies?

I keep an eye on my stomach growth as I have low Papp-a and there hasn't been an increase in 2 weeks in size.

I have a consultant appointment next week and a midwife appointment in 3 weeks.

Hello,
I am 25 +5 weeks and also have low Papp-A.
As far as I know they get concerned if you haven't felt movement at 24 weeks. You surely had your 20 week scan? They would have told you if something was abnormal.
I have an extra growth scan at 34 weeks to check growth.
I had an episode of reduced movement so got a scan and everything was fine.
I do understand your worry though. I am dying of anxiety :-/

@Felinewoman I have had my scan, all looked well! It's just concerning and makes me worry like mad that I'm not feeling a single thing. I think I tell myself I feel things when I rest my hands on my bump but I'm definitely imagining it!

I have an extra 4 scans and a couple of consultant appointments in between. The wait is killing me to know baby is ok!

I know. I had a little cry earlier. Pregnancy seems to be a stressful thing!
May I ask: is your placenta maybe anterior? Are you overweight? These things can play a role in feeling baby movements as far as I know.
What did your midwive/ consultant say about the absence of fetal movements?

MoaningMyrtle96 · 17/10/2019 20:40

@Felinewoman yes my placenta is anterior and no I am not overweight.

They haven't said much weirdly, they just said keep waiting it'll take longer but 22 weeks is a long time.. I have not stopped worrying.

Ok, so maybe the location of placenta means the babie's movements are buffered and you can't feel them yet. To be honest, at 22 weeks I could feel movements but they were not very strong. A friend of mine, who is at the same stage as me, started feeling flutters at 21 weeks or so as far as I remember.
I think if your consultant or midwife were worried they would have told you. It is easier said than done, but try to relax for now. And if you are too worried, why don't you call your midwife unit? You could just ask for more info as you are worried with no movements and low Papp-A. I am sure they can help and reassure you.
I called them when I got the Papp-A news and they were very helpful.
