Diabetes risk mystery - help?

Just want to get some other perspectives on this rather strange situation!

At about 14/15 weeks (I'm now 26) I had a really tough time with exhaustion. Dr ordered blood tests and I came back right at the bottom of the normal range for blood sugar, even though I'd actually eaten shortly before the test. It turned out a previous blood test had come back the same. She suggested that could be a cause of the tiredness and recommended eating small and very regularly. I switched to snacking every two hours and it did help a lot. By about week 19 the tiredness was really improving and gradually I was able to switch back to eating normally.

The Dr suggested talking to my midwife about this and seeing if she thought I needed a glucose tolerance test. Midwife said low blood sugar isn't something they worry about and as far as they're concerned all blood tests look okay.

Had another meeting with midwife last Friday, discussed it again, she checked blood tests again and confirmed no worries about gestational diabetes.

On Monday I then came home to a generic letter from my drs surgery saying that "on the basis of previous blood tests" I had been identified as being at risk of diabetes and needed to come in to get my weight and blood pressure checked by a healthcare assistant. There was no further info in the letter and it didn't seem to acknowledge the pregnancy at all, so not clear if it's something that was automatically generated or what.

I called the drs, explained I had this letter but was 25 weeks pregnant and that my midwife had just said I was not at risk of diabetes so this was out of the blue, and could someone call me back to discuss why they thought I was at risk and if this was something I need to discuss with my midwife. That was Monday afternoon. I've chased once but still no one had called me.

Am I being reasonable to be really annoyed by this? I thought risk of diabetes was something they took really seriously in pregnancy but I've had completely different messages from my midwife and the GP and no one will even call to discuss with me (I thought it was bad enough they sent a letter instead of calling in the first place really). What would you do, do you think it's reasonable to kick up a bit of a fuss at this point or should I just wait?

It may be because they have a list of risk factors which trigger a GTT in pregnancy and low blood sugar isn’t on there? I think the usual triggers are existing risk factors (diabetes in family, obesity etc), glucose in urine, measuring large for dates and exhibiting symptoms. If the blood test was done by the doctor you may not have ticked any boxes on the midwifes little checklist.
