I’m getting SUPER confused... swaddles, sleeping bags, sheets, cellular blankets??!!!
Would love to hear from others who have decided what they’re going to put bubs in. I’m also conscious of time of year so wondered what would be best- HELP! X

Our flat is quite warm so thinking just a sleepsuit and some blankie (the one with holes obvs) but I think a swaddle would work nicely

I’ve got some blankets for the snuzpod so will use them and a vest and sleepsuit I think. When he’s big enough I’ll use a sleeping bag x

Thanks everyone, I was thinking vest, sleepsuit and blanket (s). Have you bought any blankets yet? I’ve seen some from white company I like x

We did vest, sleepsuit and blanket and then gro bags from when they were big enough (8lb) but my last two babies were born in the spring/summer. This one is due in December so I'm hoping it's warm enough!

I bought lots of second hand cellular blankets and will probably layer them up when in pram / car / cot. Winter babies from my experience tend to get used to the cold quite easily so I don’t want to overheat.

I've bought a swaddle blanket and a newborn Gro bag both from Gro company. They come with a room thermometer and it then advises what to put on baby underneath so Depending on room temperature either short sleeve body suit / baby grow etc

I’ve got the gro company swaddles and a couple of blankets and a couple of sleeping bags. Like PP said there’s guidance on the back of the packet so I’ll just see what the temp is like when he’s here and adjust.

I'm due on 10 December and have got gro snugs from the gro company which are safe for newborns, there was a sale on a few weeks ago. As someone said above they come with a thermometer and a chart that shows what the baby should be wearing underneath depending on room temperature.

At my NCT class they said that the ideal room temperature for a baby to sleep in is about 18 degrees which is actually quite cool, and I think with radiator on for a bit should be ok even in the winter.

I've got a blanket and snowsuit for out and about.
