I'm sorry if this is TMI but I would just like some advice. Trying to conceive for quite a few months now with long term partner. I am 25, partner is 29. I have been pregnant before, a few months before I met my partner but I was young, liked partying too much, didn't have a good income, not in a relationship and had a termination. My partner does not produce much sperm, will this be affecting things? I don't really know what it the normal amount tbh, but his doesn't seem like a lot to me. We both are ready (he has been for a lot longer than me) to start a family. Has anyone been in this situation? Did it affect things? And have you any advice? It's always on my mind and it's making me really worried as I got pregnant so easily the last time. TIA

Do you mean he has a low sperm count our worried about the amount of spunk coming out?

You need to ask a doctor not mn. But anyway i think the nhs is unlikely to help until you've been trying for up to a year.

I read somewhere that taking 6 months to get pregnant is normal but the majority of the rest will get pregnant within the year. Hence why nhs don't bother looking into it until it's been a year.

Are you tracking your ovulation as well?

The amount of it I mean. Yes have been tracking and haven't been to the GP as I know they will say it hasn't been long enough. Just been wondering if this is the reason why.

Don’t worry about amount. DH has a high sperm count and excellent quality (was even asked if he wanted to become a sperm donor by our ivf clinic) but barely produces any semen. Suggest WellMan Conception for him and Pregnacare for you to help boost your overall health though.

@GrumpyHoonMain that's really reassuring thank you. Will look into what what have recommended as well
