Have you looked on ebay? And try red Herring in Debenhams. Not that I've seen anything in particular recently, but I have done in the past........
Hope you find something fabby!

I've got a wedding reception to go to this weekend and I was having the same problem. I'm 31 weeks so I'm definitely showing!

Money's a bit tight so I went on ebay and just kept an eye on their maternity dresses until something came up. I got a nice, pink, maternity dress for a couple of quid. It's not very formal but it's pretty and I reckon I can dress it up with shoes and accessories.

If you've got money to burn there are plenty of nice maternity clothes out there. Isabella Oliver and Crave do things that would be good for weddings.

Good luck

Hiya Pud1 I know exactly what you mean! I have wedding to attend and I will be 25 weeks and there doesnt seem to be anything nice in the way of pretty dresses.

There where some nice ones around during the summer but now they all seem boring and wintery.

I desperatly want to look pretty and femanine and not like a sack of spuds!

lissie · 14/08/2007 14:13

topshop have some nice ones

pud1 · 14/08/2007 14:15

there are 5 of us at one wedding that are about the same stages of pregnany ( including the bride whos dress no longer fits) i just dont want to be the one who either looks the least pregnant or the roughest..

i wish some one would tell me where that bloody myleene klass gets her clothes from. appart from the fact that they will cost a fortune she really bugs me every night on that one show looking that good and that pregnant. it puts me off my tea

Ebay
I got a Blooming Marv linen one and a lovely brown Jojo one that did me Henley and a wedding at bargainous prices.
Actually if anyone's a 10 they could borrow one or both...

And if you can get away with still being a bit summery, Jojo have dresses and two-pieces in their sale, and Blooming Marv have a few dresses too.

Hi Pud1 - Went to a wedding two months ago and there were 5 mums to be there. We all got chatting about maternity clothes. Two of us got wrap dresses from Isabella Oliver fairly early on in our pregnancies - they really are an investment as I have worn mine over and over! Would definitely recommend them even if they are a bit on the pricey side.

lissie · 14/08/2007 14:38

this dress is quite nice.

hayley2u · 14/08/2007 14:46

i got a lovely dress from dorothy perking nice print on it , i dressed with black leggings and heels,( i took another smaller heel shoe with me but ended in bare foot so reccomend flat shoes.,)
or how about white linen pants dressed with a colourful top.

Easywriter · 14/08/2007 14:50

Agree with Silver19 (so wholeheartedly as I have an Isabella Oliver purchase which I get compliments on every time I've worn it, hopefully this weekends wedding will prove no different, I'll be 28 weeks!).

I've got a tip though, don't forget to check ebay, there are many bargains to be had.

pud1 · 14/08/2007 14:53

think i might print this thread to show oh just to prove that splashing out on something expensive and fabulous is an investment. he is still in shock from looking at the cost of travel systems last week. this might just tip him over the edge

Pud1 - I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Myleene is getting all her stuff from Crave. There's also a boutique called Push (I think...I might have just made that up which has got a website and does all sorts of glam, posh maternity stuff. Depends on your budget really.

Personally I stick to ebay!

Oh, and of course Mylene is the model for the M&S maternity range. They've got a few dresses which might be worth looking at.

You should try non- maternity clothes. Dresses in particular often fit very well. I went to a wedding when 7 mths PG and wore a lovely dress from Zara.
