Has anyone else had this? Hoovering is hurting my hands and wrists. Lifting my arms up to pick up a sock of the washing line gave me pains down my arm. Surely this isn't normal. I also feel exhausted to the point I'm starting to feel low and down and just very overwhelmed with anxiety. I've heard that this can all be linked to low B12 or Iron ? I've got a midwife appt on the 16th October wondering whether to phone before then and see someone. X

I'm afraid I can't help with identifying what you're suffering with but I would absolutely phone today and speak with them to see if they can help you. It isn't normal to have pains down your arms. X

Did she give any thoughts as to why you felt like that? X

I would get a second opinion just in case. One possible reason: baby's position is causing a pinched nerve that's referring down your arms.

I'm 27 weeks, I don't feel it down my arms but I feel a lot like your explaining in my leg, I suffer from irritable leg syndrome so it could be that and getting uncomfortable braxton hicks, I wonder if the baby is maybe on one of your nerves xx

I suggest seeing a physio. I got similar pain down one of my arms, physio said due to relaxin my vertebrae shifted a bit in the sleep and caught a nerve. The pain went away after physio massage and exercises on the spine.

She didn't say anything really just said speak to midwife which I have and apparently my iron was at 119. My protein was low but didn't know how to raise that. She said speak to my gp if I get no where with midwife which I've done but they just said bloods are fine so they can't help. Baby laying on a nerve would make sense as I have SPD and it's very painful just didn't think it would affect my arms. X

It can totally affect your arms, @loulou20106. I have back problems, and I get numb pinkies. The nerves in your arms are connected to your spine, which is connected to your hip. Everything is connected, and referred pain behaves strangely at times.

One other possibility - have your breasts grown during pregnancy, and might the pain be caused by your bra no longer fitting properly / trapping a nerve? Might be worth getting refitted just in case.

Carpel Tunnel?
