Thrush in pregnancy

I'm in the early stages of pregnancy and have developed thrush. Im finding it very uncomfortable. So I have just bought canesten duo, read the instructions and it says not to take if you're pregnant. Although I can still use the cream.
Can anyone suggest something that is pregnancy safe? Please!

Get your de to prescribe it. I've got reoccurring thrush and just picked up a new prescription today. There are certain ones you can use

Speak to your midwife about it. I used the pessary twice during pregnancy, I didn’t have any other option as it was quite severe, and my midwife and pharmacist gave me the sign off. They suggested not using the insertion tool, and just using your finger to push it up, as apparently the (extremely small) risk is using that device.

I’ve used the pessary and cream three times since becoming pregnant and it has been fine. I didn’t use the applicator and the doctor has prescribed it each time :)

I read up about this in pregnancy. The potential risk is from the insertion of the pessary next to the cervix, not from the actual medicine, so just be really careful putting it in. My dr said almost 100% of pregnant women get thrush at some point.

I had it just after birth. It was awful! Worse than the stitches (TMI sorry). I used just the cream and it did go within a few days.

I suffered with thrush multiple times in pregnancy, it's fine to use the canesten duo however go through your midwife about it, she rings your doctors to get it prescribed to you and you get it for free. Make use of your free prescriptions. Don't be paying £13 odd for it, hell no! I still get it now and again and I got 6 months worth of stuff on prescription for free. Because we're entitled to it, whilst pregnant and up to one year after baby is born.

Also it's worth mentioning shops can refuse to sell you it, legally because your pregnant.
So you need to go through your doctors or midwife and get it prescribed.
