Just had my scan (21+2) baby is great but placenta covering my cervix. I am panicking but hoping it will move. What’s your experiences been with this?

Most move up so it's far too early to worry. I had it at about 30w (which I considered pretty late) and it was in exactly the same position at 34w. However, by 36w it had moved up so I wish I hadn't wasted so much time reading horror stories online about bleeds and hospital admissions!

As long as you know that you need to get to a hospital asap if you bleed (but who wouldn't?), there is nothing to worry about at this early stage as it will probably move up.

Good luck!

I had total placenta previa at 20 weeks that was marginal at 28 w, but I also had vasa previa so it was clear by then that I would need to have a pre-term section. The day before he was born the doctor mentioned that I would have anyway needed a section because the placenta was too close, but I think they let you have it a bit later than with vasa previa.
Please ensure that you are also evaluated for vasa previa, it’s often missed and is very dangerous.
Follow your doctor’s advice. I would say that a planned early section is easy to come to terms with beforehand and is a pretty good experience in general.
My son was 100% fine and while the pregnancy wasn’t easy, it wasn’t too bad. Knowing about it and being able to monitor it was key.

I have this but only a partial one. I have a scan in two weeks (32+1) to see what the state of play will be in regard to a C-section. I personally am not bothered. Midwife and consultant didn't seem bothered so I'm happy. I wasn't told to not have sex or anything like that and so far so good. There is a lot of scary things out on the internet but your midwife should reassure you.

My placenta totally covered the cervix at 17 weeks but by 22 it had moved up into a normal position.

I was super stressed about it and did loads of reading online and apparently 80% of total cervix covering placentas move into a normal position and 90% of partial/close to cervix ones do. So the odds are really good!
