Goats cheese

Just found out I'm pregnant with my first baby! Very excited and nervous and all the other emotions that come with that. I'm looking for a little reassurance. I know goats cheese isn't safe in pregnancy. However I thought that if it's cooked it would be safe so I ordered baked goats cheese today. It was really the only coeliac safe option on the menu and I thought being baked I'd be ok. Now looking online I'm reading unless it's piping hot it's completely off limits. It wasnt that hot, more melted.
I know I'm probably over reacting and it's going to be a long pregnancy if I'm going to think this way all the time, but I'd really appreciate some reassurance! Feeling emotional and fragile and worried that the baby isn't even here and I'm already a shite mother!!

The liklihood is that it was hot through before it arrived at your table but by the time it got to you it had cooled enough to it to just seem melted.

However, as you've just found out you are expecting, I'm assuming that you are still within the first few weeks possibly.
They live off the yolk sac to start with and the placenta won't be supplying them yet so I wouldn't worry yourself at this moment in time.

A lot of restaurants use supermarket goats cheese with pasteurised milk so it’s very likely to be safe. If in doubt call them and ask for the brand then Google it. In the very unlikely event that you have Listeria you will be able to get tests / antibiotics from the mw so don’t worry.
