Pram fitting into boots

Anyone with a Peugeot 208 14 plate?

Does a mothercare pram fit into a Peugeot 208 boot? I currently have a Ford ka and I can only fit the bottom bit of the pram into the boot and the carrycot has to go on the back seat. So I’m looking at a 5 door Peugeot but don’t want to buy it unless I can fit the pram and carrycot in the boot?

Hope someone out there can help :)

I don't have one, but take the pram with you if you go to have a look at the car. If it's clear you're serious then the seller won't mind letting you try it in the boot. We did the same with a dog crate!

Take the car for a test drive to your nearest mothercare and try it!

I can’t answer whether your pram would fit, but we have a 208 and have just bought a second, bigger car as it wasn’t going to work for us with pram, 2 kids and 2 dogs so it’s now my husband’s work car. If you’ve just got the one child then it might be fine. We’ve only had it since my son turned 3 so not needed to worry about a pram in it before now.

However, just thought I’d say, as we were looking around we came across the Renault Captur - if you want to stick to something a bit smaller than an SUV I’d suggest having a look at one of those as they had a really decent size boot for the size. Didn’t quite work for us with the dogs but without them it would be fine as a family car.

I've brought the icandy peach and it fits into a hyndai i10 and that boot is tiny lol My brother has a pegeuot 208 15 plate 3 door and his boot is bigger than the hyundai it even used to fit my silver cross wayfarer in no problem lol

I have the 3 wheeled mother care journey pram and when we had a Ford ka+ it didn't fit well either same problem as you. We went car shopping and took the pram with us and tried it in loads of cars until we were happy that it fit ended up with a hyundai i30 all parts fit in the boot with a small amount of space to spare. I have a 208, recently purchased a Pram, it doesn’t fit! I’ve buried my head in the sand as not due for 3 months but as pps suggested I’d take your Pram when you go car shopping.

Do you already have the pram? Our cosatto wow fit easily (including carrycot) into the boot of an old Suzuki swift with a tiny boot (I used to do a lot of mileage for work and essentially bought it for just me to run into the ground), which then blew up when DS was only a couple of months old, rendering all of my research on small easily folding prams with excellent suspension, build quality and long warranties - useless!
If you have already bought the pram take it with you, we did when buying the replacement car, although didn't need to test it as the current car has a boot I could live in.
