Hello Mumsnetters!

I am 38 weeks pregnant with DC1 and I finish work tomorrow but, just wondering what kind of signs you had, if any, leading up to the birth of your LOs?

I feel fine in myself mostly but, last night baby was moving a lot and I had back and groin pain so, I was thinking it could have been the start of something but then, again today I feel fine!

I'm due 3rd October and to be honest, I am quite happy for baby to stay in there until then as, I am comfortable (mostly) and want to make the most of my week and a bit before he/she turns up and changes my life forever!

I've tried asking Google but, it only tells me about actual labour signs e.g. mucus plug. I'm more interested in any pre labour signs, if that makes sense?!

Thank you in advance Smile

I just felt done....if you know what I mean. I was at 38+5 weeks and was supposed to go to a big birthday party in London (I'm up north) and I just said no I'm not going, I just felt odd. Then the next day I was eating my breakfast and my waters went....and went....and kept going all day. I couldn't put any clothes on as they just kept soaking through! (TMI sorry)

I wanted a home birth but after 42 hours in labour with a back to back baby I needed more pain relief, not that I felt it worked!

Baby arrived safely in hospital with little intervention, just a little cut, which is no where near as bad as I thought it would be.

With my first I don't think there was many signs I remember the absolute exhaustion a few days before I was induced and being sick and having the runs almost like a clear out Blush. I was induced but it didn't work and I was 42+6 at that point I honestly thought she would never arrive but she did at 43+2 after a random 45 minute labour
