To find out the sex or not

I'm 12 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby. With my first baby I found out he was a little boy at my 20 week scan, with this pregnancy I'm considering keeping it a surprise! Just looking to find out from people that found out the sex and kept it a surprise to see what they preferred. I loved finding out with my son as it made me feel more connected to him but I would love to experience a surprise (if I can)
Also, people that did keep it a surprise did they find it hard to be organised as you won't really be able to buy bigger size clothes until you know the sex

We were very unsure as to whether to find out and only decided just before going in to have the scan. We had no preference at all as to the gender, excited either way.

In the end, for us, it was absolutely the right decision to find out. Three weeks after the scan a very close relative died in a road traffic accident. We had shared with him the gender of our unborn child. For us it has been good to know that our relative knew a little more about our child and this is helping us to come to terms with our and our babies loss.
I think you should do what feels right for you and follow your heart.

I found out with ds1, now 29 weeks pregnant and opted not to find it this time, purely so we can try that experience too, as likely the last time. Perhaps the pregnancy hasn't felt as real to me, as in I don't feel like I can truly imagine what life will be like yet... Maybe because I'm a planet so this goes against all my instincts! But I'm excited, and I know people close to us are excited too...

Planner not planet! Though that is a rather apt typo right now Grin
