Nursing pyjamas

Hello, just looking for recommendations of where to buy good nursing pyjamas! I prefer long sleeves and don't really like stiff cotton, prefer stretchy or at least T-shirt material. Don't want buttons.

MN wisdom please!

I would recommend normal pj bottoms with a vest top that you can pull up or down and a cardigan to keep your arms warm or a dressing gown, or just pull a long sleeve t shirt on over the top if you want your arms covered while you sleep, in hospital you will be boiling though, not sure if you have had baby already

By the way get a few different ones as you might get quite sweaty after the birth while your hormones are getting back to normal

Fluffsmum · 15/09/2019 20:22

Why do you need nursing PJs? Just wear normal ones. Either button down or pull the top up.

Lidl have some :)

OnlyLittleMissOrganised · 15/09/2019 21:06

Primark have some night shirts which are nice

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll take a look.

Lol at MN - no matter what you ask there's always someone who's like, why do you want that, just use a bin bag and some sellotape, never did me any harm 😅🤪

I just fancy some nice comfy pjs that are easy to nurse in, since I'm bound to spend half my life in them!! 😛

I got the nursing vest tops out of H&M & wore a cardigan over - we co-slept so the cardi kept me warm. But the vests are soft & not starchy sorry.

Fluffsmum · 16/09/2019 22:34

I'm not saying don't buy new PJ's. Definitely buy them, just don't bother with nursing ones, it MUCH easier to lift up or unbutton than try and faff around with the slits in the middle of the night!

Starlight84 · 16/09/2019 23:30

I was asking about nursing clothes and someone said about a vest top that can be pulled down and a loose top that’s easy to lift up over the top of the vest. Regards to pjs I’ll just buy bigger bottoms and I top I can easily pull down. I didn’t breastfeed my other 2 children so this baby will be a new learning curve! I’ll have to assess how I get on and order some bits if need be from my hospital bed! Having a section so planning on a few nights in the birth centre to give bf a really good go! X

sauvignonblancplz · 16/09/2019 23:33

The lift up pull down method I always found bloody warm , but I was seriously sweaty the first 8 weeks , wasn’t pleasant lol

Thehagonthehill · 16/09/2019 23:36

Much, much easier to find a top you pull up than one you pull down and hoik your breast over.

PiratePetespajamas · 16/09/2019 23:39

Stupidly - I mean stupidly - expensive but I had a pair from here and they were fab.

EatsFartsAndLeaves · 16/09/2019 23:57

I used fleecy onesies, zip down the front is ideal.

mawof3soontobe · 17/09/2019 00:07

My rooms that warm I currently sleep naked with a muslin draped across my boobs for leakage Blush quite fancy the lidl nursing vests though!

diddlediddle · 17/09/2019 05:43

@PiratePetespajamas can't see a link!

Ok thanks all. I favour the lift up/pull down in the day but find it a faff at night and that the top top gets in baby's face. Might try the vest and cardigan option.
