You should speak to the midwife. I had this but I assumed it was baby growing and spreading - she was 8 pounds 10 and very long.

I had the most painful ribs throughout 80% of my pregnancy and was told it's normal, but check with your midwife if you're worried, just in case.

I had this, it was my ribcage stretching. Agony.

Yep I had this with my first. Went away when he was out, not before.

Can you take pain killers for the pain???

Oh I had this too through both my pregnancies. Even from a few weeks pregnant right until I gave birth. I found a hot and rest were the only things that helped. Not easy when you're working though!

I had this. It was hard and started at about 28 weeks and lasted to about 35

Three things that massively helped.

Find Katy Appleton pregnancy yoga vids on YouTube and Paula Lay ones. Saved my sanity. Yoga helps your body adapt and i used to go 10 mins every day. It would make a huge difference.

Then warm bath with Epsom salts. I was buying them by a bucket (10kgs for 12 quid) on eBay.

As I suffered badly, my GP gave me prescription for cocodamol, very low codeine content. It is in theory not recommended but it did a trick when the pain was too much and it is actually low risk when the codeine dose is low.

I had this.
Once I have birth the pain was there for about 2 more months. They felt very bruised

I've had this since I was about 24 weeks pregnant, on and off. When it first started I was really in a lot of pain under my left rib so I spoke to the midwife who advised getting checked by my GP. They checked me over and said it was just my ribs stretching and possibly the baby putting pressure on the spleen as they grew.

I have discomfort almost constantly now (almost 33 weeks) and it is such a pain! I found out at my last appointment that the baby is breech and her head is under the my left rib so it makes sense! I've found yoga, pilates and stretching really helpful, changing position regularly and baths help. Sitting down for long periods is really difficult and definitely makes the pain worse.

Other people have said it eases in the last 4 weeks as the baby moves down.
