Hey,

This might seem like a very unimportant question, but has anyone managed to find a pair of pyjamas that they like for after the birth?? I am looking for nursing nightwear basically, that doesn't come in pink or baby blue, that is comfy and flattering and doesn't look designed for a 5 year old. I can't it anywhere! Has anyone managed??

Thanks,
Cath

Next have a lovely 3 piece set - it is expensive at £25 but I think im going to go for it. COmes in grey or black.

JARM beat me to it - Next - top left here. I splashed out on the matching nightie too as I can see it being roasting in hospital (also not convinced re comfort of trous over possible stiches).
Bloomign Marv are no cheaper but have grey, aqua and what appears to be chocolate
Jojo have some nice stuff too - I like the mix and matchyness.
Avoid Mothercare at all costs .

Worth remembering that normal button-up pyjamas can be strategically unbuttoned for feeding too.

Normal pjs in larger size with stretchy vest-type top would work. I lived in stretchy nighties from M&S a couple of sizes up - just hoiked one of teh straps down to bf. And they were only about 7 quid each.

Thank you all for great ideas! Think I'm going to go to M&S tomorrow and have a look.

Thanks again,
Cath

i had this problem and echo the 'avoid mothercare' advice. got some really horrible shapeless nightdress things last time which worked but sapped my self respect.
i combed m&s but unreasonably wanted something that would fit me in hosp straight after the birth and at home when baby weight gone (i hope!). i finally bought two nightshirt things, like mens shirts, which i really like from gap. got them in a larger size cos they'll still work baggy when i'm back to 'normal'.

tried to do you a link but can't see them on site. odd...

My inlaws actually bought me my only maternity/nursing pj's, from Mothercare, of all places!! The trousers weren't amazingly comfy but I rarely wore them anyway (just big comfy pants in bed) but the top lasted me the whole 9 months that DD was BF!
It was a basic vest type top with the clips on the straps (white and the trousers were pink with large white flowers on)
Not entirely sure how much they were but don't think they would've been much more than £20 (if that!)

Apart from that, when that set was in the wash, I'd just wear a bf bra in bed and a vest top if I wanted, I guess it's just what you normally find comfortable!

I'm not sure what the 3 piece set a few people have mentioned above are like but I got a couple of maternity/bf nighties from next in the sale. They have clips to take the straps down so I assumed it would expose your breast for feeding. However, when you take that down you're left with a piece of fabric with a 'discreet' slit for the nipple. Very strange I thought. Doesn't really facilitate proper skin to skin if lo's face is in contact with a nightie. DH thought they were like something out of Anne Summers!!
